Please visit this GD thread and K&R and comment there. Thanks.

I would have posted this thread initially here, but our ER forum is too much like a ghost-town these days. (Sad but true.)

2. >>ER forum is too much like a ghost-town these days
I repeat my offer to do a day of in-depth ER news per week, if I can find enough other people to do it at least every other day.

I don't see any sense in doing it once a week all by myself, as the choices then are a) skim the surface, which other sites already do, or b) dig to my usual depth and take 8-12 hours to do it. (At only once a week - and, full disclosure, on dialup - that's the time it takes - I've done it).

I was thinking about doing it today for old times' sake, but I don't have that much time to put in on a weekly basis.

With multiple people doing it on a daily or every other day basis, it used to take me a max of four hours, even including times when sites would cause my dialup to crash. Probably would take half that or less for people with a decent connection, I'm estimating.

Anyway, I'd be happy to share my bookmarks if at least three other people wanted to start it up again.

3. Well, I started on it, but it just hangs up too much on my dialup.
Many, many news sites are not as dialup friendly as DU.

I'd still be happy to do a single day a week if we could get at least a total of four people - three for Mon, Wed, Fri, and one for the weekend. Or maybe even three for Tues, Thurs, and the weekend. So that would mean just two more people besides me....! :hi:

I saw a lot of interesting stories before I quit, but digging back a week is just not doable on my connection.
