Brad(blog) Friedman on Malloy - the fix is in, there is nothing to be done
You can go to bradblog.com and see the expanded version. He just said that there is not a shadow of a doubt that the opti-scan and other paperless systems are a joke, the elections can be and are rigged. Malloy asked him, "What can we do about it?", and Brad replied, "Not much"

When are we going to storm the streets?

1. Some state...
some time, some place, will crank it up. I don't think it will be mine...but you never know. I don't even want to speculate on how that will turn out.

7. Oh please....
they've been using optiscan machines for tabulation for decades now, without any problems.

Sour grapes, plain and simple.

11. You really need to educate yourself before talking out of your ass
The optiscan machines were how bush stole Florida in 2004. Every optiscan county showed a marked departure from the exit polls, all in Bush's favor. Non-optiscan counties were right on the money.

They are actually easier to hack than the DREs since you only have to get at one tabulator per precinct. I believe they can all be accessed via WiFi.

23. The beauty of talking out of one's ass is the freedom from knowledge.
So your request is not possible.

24. Sour grapes? Do you think more people in FL voted for Bush than Gore in 2000?
My candidate finished 3rd in NH. No amount of recounting would have changed that. Why do you against democracy?

13. "When are we going to storm the streets?"
I've done grassroots politics in the streets and people are ready...except that they are too busy or too paranoid about what might happen to them.

Thanks to your wonderful ISP and the telecommunications industry, "Echelon" at the NSA, and our favorite, "The Patriot Act", any talk of Civil Unrest, in an era of suspended Habeus Corpus, means you could have a free vacation , at the Government's expense, in Guatanomo Bay.

19. It's been paper ballots for me in California, on every election since 2000
People at the voting station look at me like I'm some kind of weirdo subversive for not trusting their system, and those looks give me great satisfaction.
