October 25 Emergency Town Hall Forum

“We’re talking about a disaster here. Why is any election officer
in the country taking a risk with these machines?
This is like playing with nitro glycerin.” --CNN's Lou Dobbs

YOUR VOTE: HOW SAFE? HOW SECURE?

See poster at: http://www.califelectprotect.net/DemSuff_c3.pdf

This Wednesday night at the San Diego Office of Education a powerful group of citizen-activists will participate in a town hall meeting. The subject will be elections in San Diego and California and how we all can help to improve the process.

There has been much controversy concerning the accuracy and security of elections in San Diego County and throughout the state. Is there evidence available to determine whether Electronic Voting Machines are capable of accurate and secure elections? Are the election practices conducted in San Diego County and other California counties, including but not limited to “sleepovers” conducted in the most secure manner possible?

Panelists will include (in alphabetical order):

>Lowell Finley, California attorney known for winning Voting
Integrity lawsuits

>Bruce Funk, Utah Registrar of Voter’s who was fired for
“whistle-blowing” on voting machine problems

>Lila Garrett, MODERATOR (KPFK Radio personality,
“Connect the Dot’s” on Pacifica Radio)

>Bev Harris, Founder of election investigators
BlackBoxVoting.org

>Paul Lehto, Elections attorney recently known for San
Diego’s CA/50 Busby/Bilbray lawsuit

Presenters will include (in alphabetical order):

>Ed Asner, Emmy Award actor and Well-known Social Activist

>Melissa Fitzgerald, Actor on the West Wing & Social Activist

>Forrest Hill, Green Party Election Integrity Advocate
(& Secty. of State Candidate)

>Jim Lampley, well known sportscaster, actor and producer,
will speak of the history of voting in California in the 21st
Century.
