Bonifaz gets nearly 30%!!
In Massachusetts, Democratic candidates for statewide office must get 15% of the vote at the state convention (in addition to the required number of certified signatures) to get on the primary ballot.

Since John Bonifaz is a new candidate running against an entrenched incumbent with a long history, lots of party connections, and a department with a lot of patronage jobs, we entered the convention only cautiously optimistic about getting 15% of the delegate vote. We left with 29.3%, which frankly stuns me as much as Lamont's similar results at the CT state convention. This is a wonderful surprise and a big boost for the campaign. Please spread the story around! (with links to John's blog)

1. Great Job
That pretty much matched Lamont's numbers, I'd say that confirms CT's sentiment on progressive candidates.

2. Congratulations! Californians, vote for Debra Bowen for SoS! Most
important vote you'll ever cast. Bowen knows her stuff, very savvy on electronic voting and voter purging; will clean up this mess. Her opponent Deborah Ortiz doesn't have a clue.

We need this strong advocate for transparent elections and open government to bust Schwarz's Diebold shill Bruce McPherson in Nov. Please help spread the word!

Bonifaz and Bowen! If we can't secure our elections in Massachusetts and California, where can we secure them?

3. CA primary is this week
The California Democratic Primary is this Tuesday, June 6th.
(the same day as Montana's primary, where progressive Jon Tester is running for the Democratic nomination for US Senate)
