This morning I bought MY very own copy of Rolling Stone and headed off to the copy store to make copies of the Kennedy article for a few friends. I wound up at the copy store next to the place where I bought the magazine - national chain, supports Rethugs, felt much guilt chosing convenience over politically smart choice. :(
So, there I am at the copy store and the first thing I do is pick up a memory card with magnetic strip that will track the number of copies I make - you know - like the kind of card you get when you vote on some voting machines.
I make copies - enlarging, changing the contrast, and trying text/image setting to get the graphics to show up as well as possible. I decide that I've monkeyed around enough and have a nice clean copy that I can use as a prototype. Please note that I am a pefectionist and tend to waste a lot of money doing this sort of thing. This morning my charge was $7.60 when I thought I was done. I pushed the button and out popped my memory card. Happy!
Well, there was just ONE more little flaw I needed to fix, so I returned to the machine and put the memory card back in - the wrong way. So I pushed the button and out popped the card and I reinserted it and.... VOILA! My $7.60 charge was gone!
:woohoo:
I made the last few copies I needed, paid $1.60 and left with a big smile on my face -> :D
The thing is this: Memory card mess up today -> Good! :D Memory card mess up on election day -> Bad! :(  :grr:
:kick:
