Key provisions of the Voting Rights Act expire next year
from the NY Democratic Lawyers Council:
=======================================

Congress enacted the Voting Rights Act in 1965 to enforce the constitutional guarantee that, throughout the nation, no person shall be denied the right to vote on account of race or color.

Key provisions of the Voting Rights Act expire next year if Congress does not act.

This is one of the most important issues facing Congress this year.

8. How about John Wells? isn't he closer?
I think it is essential that some lawyer(s) who really understand the e-voting problem go to this meeting.

The devil is in the details.
They will tell us that they agree with re-authorization.
But, the devil is in the details.
We will need to watch HOW they reauthorize!
