CA Sen. Bowen to blast e-voting & voter purge on SF AAR Tomorrow (4/11)
From Senator Bowen's office:

FYI, Senator Bowen will be on The Quake, 960 AM in San Francisco, at 8:05 a.m. tomorrow with Willie Brown and Will Durst to talk about voting machines and the voter registration database issue.

I believe you can listen live by going to:

:patriot: :toast: :bounce:

And belated kudos to Willie Brown for his blunt words on the CA coup attempt & Shelley smear! :toast:

5. Do you think you could capture this interview?
It should be very good. Willie Brown and Will Durst are much better than Franken.

18. I tuned in half way and
at the end I decided to delete it. It seemed like they only briefly went over the Ion Sancho thing and the lawsuit. I think we already have that in several other interviews. I expect she'll be back on with more updates so please let me (us) know when it happens again. It's good this is getting coverage. I think California is breaking through.

20. I agree about your decision to delete it.
The only part that really stood out as being unique in that interview was the part about the SoS choosing to wait until AFTER the June primary to do anything about the database fiasco.

9. You mean Willie?
IMO, he sure redeemed himself in that interview (after his less-than-admirable appointments to the Coastal Commission years back)

Gary has it. I looked for it in ERD, but couldn't find it. Maybe he posted it in another forum?
It was at the same link with his Bowen/Franken interview.

23. Here's hoping that The People will get their wish.
We know she's our choice. We know she would represent us tirelessly and honestly. She has been doing exactly that in the Senate.

14. Might be a good idea to experiment with the listen live link ahead of time
I'm sure it's easier for high-speed streaming than for dial-up.
It gave me some problems, so I'm glad the show is local.

22. I couldn't get it to work at all.
Their instructions insist that with Mac, Explorer must be used. But every time I tried using it, the program crashed.
With Netscape, nothing happened.
This is the first time I haven't been able to stream a program. Every other radio website's streaming I've tried has worked.

Clear Channel idiots.

19. Brief notes from the interview:
CA SoS McBastard doesn’t want to make any changes to the database situation until AFTER the next election.
He says that he needs to do that in order to determine what the problems are. :eyes:

Even data entry mistakes (completely out of the voters’ hands) can eliminate voters from the rolls.

McBastard on the database fiasco: We’ll check it out after the June primary. :grr:

Dept of Justice created this disasterous database idea.

20,000 voters may register per day close to election. (Approx. 30K/day when Clinton was running) Chaos probable.

Litigation over Diebold is happening.
Bowen expects litigation over database issue.

Diebold not secure, error prone, history of being hacked. There is litigation in Texas as a result.

Machines requirements to change in 2007. More taxpayer money down the drain.

Diebold too hackable, insecure. Harri Hursti test detailed by Bowen.

Vendors over-committed. Not delivering machines or printed ballots on time. (Not mentioned: defective machines and misprinted ballots are being delivered)

The flow of the interview was interrupted a few times by unnecessary (IMO) recaps. Not sure who was hosting with Willie Brown.
Whoever it was seemed to be less informed than Willie. (He kept mispronouncing Bowen's name.)
IMO, interviews are MUCH more interesting when the host doesn't need to be lead by the hand from square one.
Willie has been a great interviewer in that regard.
