CLELAND!
Edited on Mon Mar-06-06 03:59 PM by garybeck
this is a cross post, getting a lot of attention on General Discussion. thanks to autorank!

finally a prominent democrat is speaking out against diebold!

"(Max) Cleland added that he also was concerned about the integrity of the new voting systems, and questioned the accuracy of the Diebold systems in use in Georgia and Ohio. In Ohio in 2004, he asserted “there was a lot of funny business'’ with the voting systems, such putting too few machines in Democratic precincts."

2. i've always thought that
the Cleland election was one of the most obvious Diebold frauds. Many including me have questioned why Cleland never said or did anything. It's late in coming but better late than never! I hear he's running again. Too bad there won't be any VVPATs to do a recount with. GA is still all DRE, right?

3. Maybe he'll have a little chat with the Scty of Elections...a Dem and get
her in line, i.e., no more Dieobold "patches." Amazing stuff.

See posts 82 and 62 on the Cleland thread, from dead parrot. He was there. Sounds like they were having a high old time. Great to see a Dem so feisty.

I'll be featuring your latest news letter in the daily thread tonight, cya,

4. do you really think he's going to fight it this time?
if so maybe I should add him to the new "support these candidates who will fight election fraud" section on the solarbus homepage.?

the patches are a concern, but now that we know the interepreted code is on the DREs as well as the opscans, it seems like they could mess around even without a patch. according to the berkeley study, the interpreted code opens the door to even changing the firmware.

5. You bet. Read the article, the whole thing, from my post.
He's really on a roll. Swinging for the fences is the term I think. He's had enough, from the sound of it. Very intelligenet guy with little to lose.

We can always hope.

Check your box. Sent you a great link;)

9. well my o my, did you hear that GA is considering VVPATs?
VVPATS + a candidate who understands electronic election fraud = Diebold is nervous and they might have to let the election go as the voters intend for a change!

I just heard yesterday that even Cathy Cox is now in favor of VVPATs and they might pass legislation requiring them!

by the way, does Max have a web page set up for his candidacy yet? I'd like to link to it my new section titled "support these candidates who will fight election fraud"

6. First they steal an election from a disabled person
then they try and force states to buy voting machines and claim it will help the disabled. SCUM F*CKERS.

11. Cleland needs to help us build the case.

Maybe we could then get a few of our other Democratic "leaders" to jump on the boat perhaps? Why are they so silent about the issue? Don't they care to know about it? It's the reason why we've lost the last three elections. For Christ's sake! When are some of them going to get some balls are bring this up as a national issue?

People, keep flooding the offices of your Representatives and State Legislators with phone calls, faxes and emails. Keep screaming your head off about it until they hear us. I mean it! Shut the phone lines and servers down! Fill their mail boxes to the brim! Keep doing that until they get it! You hear me? Good! :)

12. If Cleland comes out blasting away all barrels about the election theft
machines, I'd almost send him every penny in my bank account, and I'll bet there are a ton of people just like me.

Maybe Mark Crispin Miller would have better luck peddling his book with Cleland than with Kerry.
