I think we need to help people realize that Diebold isn't the only problem.

DRE's and OpScan are vulnerable no matter who makes them.

8. i agree in principle, however

Diebold is the "hot button" with name recognition that gets people hooked. Most people have heard of Diebold already... and i personally think that if we focus on one thing, we can accomplish more than if we spread our efforts. If we can topple Diebold, the others will fall. Anything that happens to them sets a precedent. I think for newbies it's good to talk about Diebold alot but when people learn more they find out about the others. as you know, my focus is always on newbies, so I tend to talk up Diebold the most. I also think diebold is the most vulnerable because they've been scrutinized the most, they have the most recognition, and they have the Wally Odell quote. they are doomed, if we don't give up. which ain't going to happen. they're going down.

And the posts are overly simplistic.

There is a danger there.

"WooHoo, Diebold bails on NC." Great. So Sequoia (for instance) comes in and does what?

There wasn't a lot of Diebold equipment in Ohio 2004, yet you hear a lot of "Diebold stole it".

It's inaccurate, and that makes our argument easy to dismiss by sub-newbies (in my unhumble opinion).
