Do they really expect us to believe all that nonsense?
Edited on Tue May-24-05 07:03 PM by TruthIsAll
Does Mitofsky really expect us to believe that Kerry won 50.8%
of the 13047 who responded in the National Exit Poll (a 2.90%
margin) but only 45.44% of the 11,570 who refused (an 8.48%
deficit)?

Does he really expect us to believe that Republicans who voted
for Bush were more reluctant to be surveyed than those
Republicans who voted for Kerry?

Does he really expect us to believe that only Bush voters are
reluctant to be interviewed, which he claimed once before, in
1992 when Bush Sr. defied the exit polls in the NH primary?

USCV has proved that the rBr hypothesis is completely without
merit; a Bush win cannot be simulated without assuming
outrageously implausible conditions which defy common sense.

So why are we still even having this debate?

			National Exit Poll 13047 respondents
				53%	Response Rate

Actual	Exit Sampled	Refused	Total Pct of
	Vote	Poll 13,047	11,570	24,617 Refusers

Kerry	48.28%	50.80% 6,628	5,257	11,885 45.44%
Bush	50.73%	47.90% 6,250	6,239	12,488 53.92%

Diff	-2.45%	2.90% 378	-981	-603 -8.48%

1. For the same reason we're having a 'debate' about Social Security.
Reason aint't in it.

2. scientists don't expect anyone to believe what they find
they just publish what they find and ask people who are interested to look at the facts, and they ask other scientists to review what they've found.

Religious crusaders are the ones who demand people believe them.

4. Well, I think Mitofsky has been getting away with stuff like this for so
long, that we have kinda caught him off-guard, and it's hard for him to cover his tracks in hind-sight now.

For example, who ever heard of a "scientist" trying to pass of a hypothesis (rBr) as a firm answer (for the exit poll discrepancy) - as he did in his January report? (In addition, he doesn't even provide adequate data to even justify a hypothesis?) Such a thing is unheard of in legitimate scientific circles!

9. Did someone say something about David Baltimore. Hello, hello

Oh, yeah, David Baltimore (of the bogus research scandal investigated by Congress) is, you guessed it for $800,
President of the California Institute of Technology. CalTech was quick to get out the "debunking" package
to counter real investigators.

Ah, but now I'm talking like one of those conspiracy folks.

11. Yes,
...they really expect us to believe all that nonsense. Their entire case that Bush "won" depends upon it, so of course it's necessary to at least sell it to the media. And that is not a hard sell...

There are so many MSM types who are rBr.
