Folks, Ohio Election directors are being pressured to spend millions on new electronic machines for voting. we've heard that 22 counties have chosen Diebold and in negotiations.

It's time for citizen outcry to stop this madness....

5. Here are just a few....

10 Reasons not to buy DRE Touchscreens:
1. TEHY ARE TOO EXPENSIVE
* 25% more in maintenance and technical support beyond what HAVA money pays for
* $93/Machine cost in year 2 not paid for from HAVA money will hit county bottom lines
* Need 1 DRE machine for 175 voters making it 3 or 4 times more expensive than optical scanner technologies

2. MACHINE FAIL TOO MANY TIMES...These machines are in lockdown in Maryland (Diebold) for machine failure and Diebold has still not fixed the problem. See www.truevotemd.org for details. In California, Diebold was decertified for uncertified software and security problems. Also, In Georgia the machines were stolen without serial #'s making them totally unable to have any kind of security as anyone with those machines could hack in to any state's election network and change the outcomes (visit www.countpaperballots.com for police report)

3. DRE VENDORS Have Convicted criminals for programmers, both ES&S and Diebold are managed by Brothers Todd and Bob Urosevich and both have partisan ties and have been big backers of President Bush...

We buy these companies ourselves and then put them all on open source software with paper trails.

even if we owned the companies and they were open source,
the GOP could hire hackers to rig them..

the bottom line is we need less technology and more paper ballots and human counting...

it's the only way..

SOROS and others should give money to the hundreds of citizens mounting lawsuits and put huge 150M damages clauses on these assholes.. then with that money ,we build a company to support ongoing efforts to keep DRE machines out of our elections, period.
