rBr: The Bush voter equivalent of WMD. There's no there there.
Edited on Wed May-18-05 09:39 PM by TruthIsAll
They say that the 6.5% WPE is due to the reluctant Bush responder.
Could be.

It could have also been reluctant Bush 2000 voters who voted for Kerry this time. And didn't want anyone to know.

Or reluctant Kerry voters who had to rush home to take a crap.
Or reluctant Kerry voters whose spouse was waiting in the car.
Or reluctant Bush voters who felt extreme guilt.

It could have a combination of all these things.
But not just ONE of them. This was a BIG poll, so BIG that over 73,000 responded in in the states, 13000 in the National Exit Poll sub-sample.

To assume that the 47-50% who didn't respond were reluctant Bush voters is a slap in the face of anyone who knows how to tie a shoelace.

THE RATIONAL HYPOTHESIS, THE ONE THAT MAKES SENSE INTUITIVELY AND FACTUALLY, IS THAT SINCE KERRY WON 53% OF THE 53% WHO RESPONDED, HE ALSO WON 53% OF THOSE WHO DIDN'T.

AND GUESS WHAT: KERRY ENDS UP WITH THE SAME 53%.

CONSIDERING THAT KERRY WON 57-60% OF NEW VOTERS, 70% OF NADER VOTERS 60-70% OF UNDECIDED AND AT LEAST 95% OF FORMER GORE VOTERS, THAT'S NOT TOO HARD TO SWALLOW, IS IT?

AND WHAT ABOUT THOSE DEMOCRATS WHOSE VOTES WERE SPOILED? THERE WERE A LOT MORE OF THEM THAN THERE WERE RELUCTANT BUSH RESPONDERS.

This "reluctance" canard is all bullshit.
Another major, major diversion by professional liars.

The bigger the lie, the more outrageous the excuse, the more likely it is to have credence among non-thinkers, neocons and Mitofsky shills. And DINOS.

It's no different than Iraqi WMD. We have the Iraq smoking gun memo, but even that's not enough.
Nothing ever is.

Mark Twain, Sinclair Lewis and George Orwell and Abraham Lincoln and Dwight Eisenhower were right. Its Fascism.

Which one's Mitofsky?
Which one's the Mystery Pollster

As my favorite BS canard, I choose: The Kerry voters reluctant to talk to anyone because they were headed for the Blarney Stone Bar to celebrate what they were sure would be a great victory for democracy.

Some people just can't stand the ugly truth that the election was stolen. Denial begets self deception which, in turn, begets the obsessive reluctance to accept the clear case for corrective action. We can refer to this as the "eFd" - the enthusiastic Fraud denier.

I concur! For those who deny, nay-say, quibble, and adopt contrarian positions about election fraud, let me quote Jack Nicholson in A Few Good Men: "You can't handle the truth."

8. eFd: "Enthusiastic Fraud Denier". I like it.
Denial has a lot of force behind it, as does the resistance to coming out of denial.

Hey, eFd's: take a look at where your enthusiasm really comes from.

Eggheads I have known have referred to it as 'cognitive dissonance', i.e., "Who should I believe, my expectations or my lying eyes?"

2. Hey TIA, can you factor the odds for me that ...
Edited on Wed May-18-05 09:46 PM by tommcintyre
voters for a candidate to the RIGHT of GW would ALSO be more "exuberant" in reporting how they voted?

So far, I've noticed none of the pro-rBr "number-crunchers" have offed to help. So maybe it would break their "fancy functions"? ;)

4. Recommend for Greatest Page! Needs two more votes!
This is a GREAT analogy. No "there there," just like Iraq WMDs. Also, these numbers need to get more publicity, and need to be knocked into peoples' heads NOW:

KERRY WON
57-60% OF NEW VOTERS,
70% OF NADER VOTERS.
60-70% OF UNDECIDED.
AND AT LEAST 95% OF FORMER GORE VOTERS.

Also: The Democrats blew the Republicans away in new voter registration in 2004, nearly 60/40--indicating, a) high motivation of most new voters to vote for Kerry because they were registering as DEMOCRATS, and doing so in droves; and b) high motivation of GORE VOTERS to vote for Kerry, since they were the ones getting all those new voters--their non-voting friends, co-workers, family members, etc.--to register and vote DEMOCRATIC, and they weren't doing it to get them to vote for Bush!) (--which you have to believe, to believe Bush won).

Switch voters (former Gore voters for Bush; or Bush voters for Kerry) were a wash. Ergo, Kerry COULD NOT LOSE, and in fact won by at least 4 million votes, and possibly by 6 million (if illegally suppressed Democratic votes are added on--those who never got exit polled because they were prevented from voting).

Bottom line: a 4 million vote margin for Kerry (which correlates closely with the exit polls).

Also: Bush approval rating on his Inauguration Day, 49% (unprecedented, to be so low just after "re-election"!). Today, 45%. With 60% to 70% of Americans disapproving of every major Bush policy, foreign and domestic.

Where did Bush's support come from? Where is his support TODAY?

The same place Iraq's WMDs are: nowhere.

11. It makes me sick to think that Kerry won and we got stuck with a big,
steaming pile of shit to run our country. I cannot believe that these criminals pulled this off.

6. Yet another eloquent assessment of the neoconification of what was ...
.... the Constitutional democracy called "America."

Peace.

www.missionnotaccomplished.us - Be it MNA Day 3 or 8 or 15 or .... the day will come when 10s of millions of Americans and others stop their typical activities for 24 hours and urge 10 times that many to join should another MNA Day be required. On that glorious day what we once called "America" will emerge.

7. Huey Long, too: he said that fascism would come to the U.S. as
100% Americanism.

("If Fascism ever comes to America, it will come wrapped in an American flag").

TIA, your posts continue to grow more concise, as you valiantly continue the difficult struggle to make the obvious understandable to those who aren't looking.
