2. Not really...
...in some sense, it irks me that we were told over and over that Kerry's Vietnam service "innoculated" him, which I knew to be completely false, but hell, what's it called, monday morning quarterbacking or some such...

5. No
I supported Clark and then supported Kerry because I'm a Democrat and he was my candidate. My wife and I heard Kerry speak in Tampa in March and were transformed from Democrats supporting Kerry because he was going to be the candidate into Kerry supporters who truly believed in the man and who worked hard from May-November trying to get him elected.

4. no....
I don't think it would have mattered much who our final candidate was. I think the fix was in long before the Dems had a final candidate.

14. I Agree
I saw Kerry 3 times in the week before the "election," and I know Edwards is a helluva speaker, but Kerry was even better. Kerry blew me away. But you're right, I believe the fix was already in. Jesus would have had a hard time winning this election.

my candidate (kucinich) made his contribution to the furthering of what many of us wanted, and cheerfully went on to support Kerry and work within what he called the "mythological Democratic party." We might just as well stop knocking Kerry. He did a great job. I certainly couldn't have done better. Could you?

6. I really, Really Hope Kerry Has Something Going On
Behind the scenes. I'm beginning to wear down, just like the pugs want. Somebody wake me up!

I DO support Kerry. I just wish he'd fight harder.

7. Kerry
No it was not about the candidate
And I dont want to hear anything about it
Kerry campaigned hard and fought hard
The Republicans are pure evil
We need to get to the core of electronic voting machines, before
our next election, and get rid of them, we need paper ballots only.
I know the Democrats need to be tougher, but never sleezy and evil
like the Republicans.

So NO it was not about that, and "I told you so" is not the solution
or the answer

10. Not me....I supported Dean, but there are no guarantees he
would have done better than Kerry. It is very much possible that he would have done worse. While we may have chosen a better candidate, the problems with the Democrats now seems to be bigger than just one person.

11. No. But...
although I supported Edwards in the primary, and became content with Kerry as the nominee, especially after the debates, in hindsight...

I think Gephardt would have been the best choice (geography).

12. I can't
because I bought into the Kerry bandwagon myself. But I'm furious with the lousy campaign he ran and easy way he conceded. Flame me all you want.

16. Kerry was down 4 on my list, but by the time the primaries

were over it didn't matter. He has what it takes.

Any of them could have beaten *. But * would have stolen it from any of them.

(edited to remove past tense -- I hope it's not over yet)

I would never do that. Once Kerry was the nominee he was my candidate. There isn't much choice and no reason at all to try to rub salt in all of our wounds.

21. No...
I think a Clark/Kerry ticket would have worked. And I never could understand Kerry's appeal. But when he won the primaries, I realized that he had a "mandate" that I would never hope to understand, so I just got on board with it.

But I was/am a Deaniac, and looking back, given the Gay Marriage thing, you KNOW Dean would have been SLAUGHTERED!

Moreover, he didn't have a plan for the War on Terror -OR- for getting us out of Iraq...

23. No. Getting real, I wonder if any of the candidates could have--
--dealt with both the slime machine and the vote fraud. I supported Kucinich, and they would have done him the same way they did Kerry. I think DK would have fought back more, but don't know whether that would have been enough.

24. Kinda?
Edited on Thu Nov-11-04 12:23 AM by AmyCrat
I'm not sure "I told you so" came to mind, as much as "as least with Dean you knew where he stood. He was firm on what he believed".

I really do feel that Kerry wasn't "liked" by the people as much as he could have been. It was more the "anyone but Bush" mentality.

... IMO
