I AM FED UP
Two presidential elections stolen and we are in the same place! The Election Commission hearing yestersay was one of the most(with a few exceptions)disgusting display I have ever seen. I don't really have many computer skills past copy and paste, but nothing would please me more than seeing boxes and boxes of petitions with millions of signatures from those of us who refuse to sit down and shut up about it.

What I am leading up to is, would this be a good idea? Any suggestions, anyone?

2. I just feel like we have to do SOMETHING
to get everybody's attention. I am so sick of this shit I can't stand it anymore. The 2006 elections are close and I can't bear to think of our votes being stolen yet again.

And the overbearing and rude behavior of the repukes is almost too much for me. Everytime I see one opposite a Democrat on TV, all they can do is interrupt and try to push their half assed points to the front like so many spoiled brats who don't know how to wait their turns.

I am old enough to realize this ploy is an act of desperation on their parts. But if our votes are no longer to be counted, where are we left?

Thank you for allowing me to rant.

3. We all need to rant when it's time...
Anger clouds judgement, when it's time to vent, it's time to vent.

I am pissed too...

Can I give you a frame to work with...

The information about the elections being stolen is public knowledge. Why would the commission avoid public knowledge?

Anyone in the world can see it...

They won't.

4. I'm with ya!
I, too, am fed up!! WHat really annoys me about the commission is the timeline they have set up for hearings, which are spread out over several months! I don't see how in the world anything can really be accomplished within the dates they have set forth. With little time left, nothing can really be addressed before the next election... that in itself is an outrage!!! I DO like to think positive, but it is hard, really hard under these circumstances.
Sometimes, I dream of being able to just have all of America boycott voting-period-until it's fixed!
I would also like to know, if anyone has the latest progress or numbers of signatures for the impeachment process.WHere does it stand? Shrub needs to go!
Along with the spineless media that lets it all happen!!!
In my madness, I also dream of pooling together some media payoff money-since that's what they appear to like-everyone-all of us- come up with a dollar-then pay them off- so they can actually cover real tough stories-ones that GW doesn't want anyone to know! Like the Clint Curtis polygraph, for example!
Okay, okay, I feel better!

7. FED UP 2
What is more impressive? A million signatures sitting in some corner office in the Capital Building or a million people sitting on the Capital steps? What is going to impress the media? What is going to impress your representative?

Yes we have been out standing, in small groups of five or ten, getting an occasional horn honk for our efforts. Yes we have a token hearing being held, that barely gets media coverage, if any, if not for C-SPAN.

I guess looking back at history one has to ask, what got the attention of our government in the past? I don't recall reading about any petition drives changing the course of history. I am not advocating violence, but how far are you willing to go to get their attention. Are you willing to stage a sit in, or a massive protest march or spend a night in jail for dis-orderly conduct? How many of our leaders on our side are willing to stand with us? Is your representative going stand with us?

I may be new to posting on DU, but I have seen what works and what doesn't. People all in one spot is how you get their attention.
