Is there a stripper in a strip club who knows about election fraud?
Edited on Wed Mar-16-05 12:35 PM by rosebud57
The majority of the people who may know something or be in a position to have done something regarding election fraud are probably men, they probably drink and they may visit strip clubs. Strippers always ask "what do you do for a living?"

I will never forget the time a former Cincinnati city council member told me that Cincinnati Bell stole his votes...

3. a club in Newport KY right across the river from Cincinnati...
Edited on Wed Mar-16-05 12:39 PM by rosebud57
in retrospect that conversation was quite interesting because of allegations that Cincinnati Bell did wiretap BoE phones in the 70s. At the time I thought this unnamed former city council person was just being a sore loser. Now I wonder.

For background on the Cincinnati election fraud brouhaha, google Cincinnati Bell wiretap

7. No this was years after that scandal, it was an incumbent who had
recently been defeated after many years on council. His name was Mirlisena. At that time I was extremely skeptical, and knew nothing about how votes were tabulated. I don't even remember what year it was since I worked there from about 1981-1997. While I do not believe a lot of easily recognized people like politicians go to strip clubs, perhaps the Texas Task Force celebrated on Nov. 2 and spent big. Big spenders are remembered and they have ample opportunity to talk too much.

11. Yes, I only heard about Condit and Cincinnati Bell wiretaps this past
November when I started googling election related words. Mirlisena definitely claimed that Cincinnati Bell was responsible for some of his votes being rerouted and put in a competitors column. What seemed to be just a man who was drinking, talking too much (he probably should not have told me he was John Mirlisena since I definitely blabbed about him being in the strip club) turned out in retrospect to be prescient. All the statistical analysis in the world won't shake out witnesses that might know something. One thing I do know is that when men are out of town away from their wives they hit the strip clubs. And when they are flsuh with cash they spend, talk a lot AND are remembered.

4. My point is that unsavory characters often hang in strip clubs and they
often talk too much. Do Triad techs visit strip clubs in Columbus?

9. Election. If we want to find out who, how and what we better start
thinking outside the box. Surely some DUers could go undercover in strip clubs in Columbus, Talahasee etc to research this avenue.

10. OK, DUBees! Time to go "undercover" and "think outside the box!"
Your mission, if you choose to accept it:

1. Run down to the ATM and withdraw $100.00. Put in an expense voucher for the money (you will be repaid from case proceeds, I promise!)

2. Exchange your $20s for $5s (strippers don't take $1 bills, and they don't take American Express.)

3. Go to every strip club within driving distance of your home, and slip some of that green into the G-strings of the dancing ladies. Be sure to ask them if any election officials have admitted rigging the 2004 Presidential election.

4. Post the results of your investigation on DU.

I'm heading over to the bank right now!

No, not that kind of G-string!

13. Also!
Very important.

Remember to ask if they've had any contact with top level WH officials that have a rat-fucking fetish.

We need to get all this out in the open.

Thanks for the inspiration, Pagan.

21. Strippers don't take ones? When did that happen? I suppose
a hooker in Vegas isn't $50.00 anymore either. Now I feel old again.
Just saw a post where someone didn't know where the lyrics to "It's All Over Now Baby Blue" came from. That made me feel really old, almost as bad as when I was scoping out a woman in a bikini and a kid ran up to her and said "C'mon Grandma, we have to go."

28. I know of people who used lottery scratch offs because the
stripper would always stand there and scratch them off to see if she had a winner. I was always in fear of giving a stripper a thousand dollar winner (or fifty for that matter) so never did.

16. Remember strippers are being harrasssed by right wing nuts who
are always trying to pass laws to limit a strippers free speech. Gain their confidence by bashing the right wing morality police.

You guys make fun of this thread but the Texas Task Force may have celebrated in one or more strip clubs in Columbus. They probably had a lot of cash and would be memorable. A valet or a cab driver may even know which clubs.

17. big respect to this concept
Everyone's laughing, for obvious reasons, but I think you are absolutely right. Maybe an investigative reporter (if one exists) would be into this. Try floating this idea at dailykos.com- those folks are very eager for research projects and aren't quite as prone to laughter.

Probably because they don't have a lounge...

20. Didn't the Texas Task Force stay at a Hilton in Columbus very
near an Ohio GOP/RNC location?

Unfortunately most bloggers/forum types do all there investigating with a keyboard...

We need good old fashioned gum shoes, current or former law enforcement, undercover floozies to "run into" political types in the watering holes they frequent...

Remember loose lips sink ships and that means bars and clubs.

24. Rosebud does have a good theory.
Despite my ribbing and anamandujano hurtin' abs. A lot of stuff gets out cause of someone's carelessness or whatever. Witness the Triad technician.

It's not even like there has to be a smoking gun, just some more drip, drip, drips.

And it might be found anywhere.

I recall some press about the Texas Strike Force being overheard by (I think) a motel worker, who then ratted :7 on them.

So it's that kind of thing, too.

26. And the motel worker(s) may have been asked for advice on what
strip club to go to after they finished their phone banking harrassment. Chances are they did not fly back to TX until the 3rd.

Here is some info on the witness to the phone calls

http://blog.radioleft.com/blog/_archives/2005/3/2/391938.html

and

http://www.freepress.org/departments/display/19/2005/1177

Ms. Sowell, a long-time worker in the Texas GOP, is extremely enthusiastic about the MTSF's ability to engage people in the campaign. "They worked like dogs," she said of the volunteers, "They worked all day and they played all night." There was so much interest in the MTSF, she said, that there were 200 to 300 people extra who couldn't be deployed.

Just a thought, why was the MTSF sighting in Columbus seen using a pay phone? Is it because cell phones aren't safe and can be trcaed to a particular user. The Columbus police were called by Holiday Inn, but they reportedly did not do much investigation. Did they check the LUDS for that pay phone. If not why not.
