Republicans continue efforts to make it harder for students to vote
Bill proposed to make it harder for students and those without drivers licences to vote

Hundreds of thousands of students not allowed to vote in 2004 election: obstacles to registration, failure to provide absentees, extreme ID requirements, broken machines, disorganization, and long lines in precincts with large number of college or university students

1. Hey, I know!
Universities could set up their OWN voting systems in compliance with the BOE.

Universities are great places for creative problem solving.

2. Because once the draft is reinstated, those students are going to vote
enmasse against anyone supporting the draft and/or any war that will cause them to be drafted. It's a preemtive strike against them.

3. That is because they know that 'every vote counts'. Welcome to

4. Minorities and students targeted for suppression because polls and history
showed they were likely to vote heavily Democratic

5. Big question is: Is there major voter fraud problem or too many unable to
vote who should be able to vote??

I think its clear. Not much real voter fraud has been documented. Totally insignificant.

But its clear that many hundreds of thousands or millions of people who should have been able to vote in the 2004 elections weren't allowed to because of deliberate malfeasance, misfeasance, bad rules, manipulation, suppression, etc.

and

I think the ratio is about 1000 to 1 at least. So where's the problem; do we need to make it harder for minorities and students to vote(and have more security from voter fraud- which is not a clear problem)

or make it easier for people eligible to vote to register and have their votes counted.

I think the answer is clear; and there are some states out there with reasonable registration systems and reasonable provisional ballot systems and rules to emulate.

6. Why haven't the Univ./College papers followed up on this problem?
Or have they and I haven't seen it and the MSM haven't noted it.

For that matter, why haven't the MSM noted it???

College students tried to vote in bigger numbers this year than in a long time or ever; but had huge problems.

Is there no interest in the political establishment and the MSM in this fact??

I would at least expect the college papers to pick up on it?

Have the not seen info like in my summary?
