ABC news - Jennings: "Just who are those people out there..."
...who don't believe that President Bush won the election?"

So I guess they're going to do a piece on it on the nightly news. From the patronizing tone of his voice, I'm assuming - I hope prematurely - that's it's going to be condescending and dismissive.

Stay tuned... I guess.

44. Conspiracy theorists?
Was I a conspiracy theorist when my intuition told me that there were no WMD's in Iraq and that there was no threat from Sadam Hussien back in 2002?

Peter Jennings just efficiently put the theory to rest. I guess it wasn't worth mentioning that all other counties that had paper trails made no such switch to Bush. In fact, he never even mentioned paper trails or the fact that the voting system is privatized.

23. Answer - Those who know what the 3rd and final exit polls showed!.
Edited on Tue Nov-09-04 06:57 PM by Petrodollar Warfare
...afterall, it was Jennings from ABC on Friday night who claimed that networks typically do not "call" the election until the 3rd exit polls are done (4pm), but Jennings completely failed to mention that in both the 3rd(4pm) and final (6pm) exit polls showed Kerry winning both Ohio and Florida (51 vs 49). Does he think we are stupid?...actually don't answer that question.

My question to him, why didn't they call Ohio and Florida for Kerry, afterall, that's what the network used to do! - atleast according to his own admission that was done in the pre-Diebold/pre-ES&S days...now it's whatever the unauditable/paperless machine says?

His Friday diatribe blaming "internet blogs" for somehow being responsible for any confusion of the exit polling facts suggests he lives in the faith-based community, whereas most non-media folks who can still think critically are in the apparantly unpopular "reality-based" community. I knew I should not have watched TV on Friday...I can't deal anymore with the Orwellian network media spin.

Pathetic Jerk.

And what happened to Jake Tapper???

They picked one Fl county - said that even though it's 3500 Dems to 800 repubs, the county went big for repubs each of the last four elections.

They talked to one guy from some voting group, didn't catch who, who said there were very few problems with voting this time.

And those exit polls? Well, they were just wrong. Voting expert says when you have a choice between the exit poll and a vote tally, you take the vote tally.

Begone, Conspiracy Theorists!

They pointed to one FLA country with more a lot more DEMs than Repukes and pointed out that going back to Quayle, that county has always gone RED. A black DEM congressman said that the other side did a better job with the turnout.

They also pointed out that the Ohio surplus of votes in Cuyahoga was non-existent.

This piece makes the vote fraud proponents look really bad.

49. segment dubbed as a PUBLIC service to talk about the "theories"
rather bland. Talked of LaFayette County in FL.
where bush won (the contraversy is that there are more registered Dems than Repugs). Noted that their web site does not point out that for the last 2 election cycles (this makes 3), this county also went to a Republican.

This information does dilute any idea that there was a problem in this county.

I should note that also-----This was pointed out on the DU forum a few days ago also.

Said nothing about Palm Beach, Spoilage, Broward, Absentees, optical scan scenario. Fluffy and yes condescending.... Nevertheless, it did put the story out there.

79. Indulge me, if you can. So as of today, the FLA fraud
accusations that relate specifically to the physical process of counting the votes (as opposed to spoilage and absentee fiascos) that are the most worthwhile for us to investigate are those where votes have been tabulated by optical scanners, right? And as of now, the possible act of fraud most probably involves the central tabulators which are supposedly hackable from a remote location? Am I correct?

48. it seems those counties in FL that are mostly Democratic
always vote Republican... or have been cheated in the last 4 presidential elections.

and apparently there aren't actually more votes in Cuyahoga than voters.

as for exit polls, they believe the votes over the poll

(all of this is from the news and may not necessarily reflect the feeling or views of kittenpants)

his blog today, he said that the counties that he mentioned last night were just the most glaring examples of very Democratic counties voting Republican...there were MANY more that he didn't mention, scattered throughout the state (that is, outside of Dixiecratland), and they also used the op scan cheating machines.

...but I did, and I'm really late.

What a waste of time that was. It was surface fluff, and seemed a little too eager to make light of the "phantom voters in Ohio."

A little disappointed in Jake Tapper, too, who, if I remember correctly, appeared in that documentary about the 2000 election.

It's astounding that the administration who used fraudulent documents as an excuse to start a war can be completely trusted with the election that keeps them in power.

*out the door*

62. Jake Tapper used to write for Salon
So I'm kind of shocked at how superficial and dismissive his report was.

86. He was one of the spite boys who reported on Gore. Rarely gave him
a break in 2000. Got all pissy because he was late and the plane left him on the tarmac. I remember one of his articles during the 2000 debacle featured a drawing of a fork stuck in the side of a big ham.
Stick a fork in Gore... he's done. He is a shill.

59. Peter F*ing Jennings

Jennings is a sorry excuse for a journalist

64. Coverage on Fox News
The vote fraud issue has just been discussed by the 'Fox Allstars' on Special Report with Brit Hume.

Juan Williams was given a good opportunity to list some of the key concerns which people had e-mailed him about concerning the problems with the election. Naturally Charles Krauthammer rubbished the whole theory but Brit Hume was remarkably restrained.

I thought the coverage was actually pretty fair and balanced - a first for Fox!

to hear that Brit was "constrained".
Charles K. is a bullfrog--I have to hear anything constructive some from his mouth--besides bladder of "liberal" crap. Sometimes i do not know who is worse--Charles K. or Rush!!

95. liberty media
well, Liberty Media (the owner of discovery channel and game show network) is/was thinking about buying news corp (parent company of Fox News Chan) from rupert murdoch...so unless they can somehow raise $ and not a hole for their channel, they have to stop being so rightist.

So Ohio REVISED the website to make the numbers reflect the outcome and that's proof? Boy, that's some reportin' them fellas are doing, guess it just proves the point of how numbers can disappear from a computer screen, eh?

89. ABC dismissing the issue...
...is the very reason it's a good idea that Kerry and the campaign keep their distance from it. Once the evidence goes from circumstantial to undeniable, then they can join the chorus. But for now, I think it's a good idea they say nothing.

91. Media addresses - I just wrote Howard Stern begging him to stand up...
against those in the media who worship the AntiPres and his KKKabal. I also thanked him for bringing it to our attention that the head of the FCC is Powell's son, appointed the day Bush was sworn in.

I am taking my frustration out by writing the press as often as I can, asking them how they can keep lying to us or keep quiet. It's bound to get through if we keep at it.

Here is a list of media, domestic and foreign:

NETAUDR@abc.com with "WORLD NEWS TONIGHT" in the subject line, as per ABC News' contact information page. I didn't see any addresses for direct feedback to Jennings.
