1. One more thing...

Take OUT any internal modem cabability that can be accessed during the voting process. Use an external modem that isn't set up until after all has been done and the paper trail has been printed out and set aside, so no hanky panky goes on then.

6. The Lone Star Iconoclast is a GREAT NEWSPAPER! I subscribed about...

...six months ago, when I got wind of their troubles with the local BushCon biz establishment, and I've never regretted it. One of the best publications in the country. They seem to be doing much better now. I urge DUers to subscribe and take out ads, to keep them going and make them a big success.

They publish all kinds of exposes of Bush and BushCons, and stuff you'll never find anywhere else, like, "Philanthropist offering $100,000 reward for proof that WTC buildings collapsed the way federal government claims" (front page feature!). And they just published a wonderful feature on a progressive evangelical minister who says he expects to spend time in jail with Bush in power. They also publish lots of great letters to the editor, and they write amazing editorials, that almost make you cry--they are so good, and they make the state of journalism almost everywhere else in the country look so bad. Great editorial cartoons, too!

You also get to follow the Crawford High School Pirates football team, which made the regional semifinals in December, by beating out the Celina Bobcats, a team with a 96-5 record over seven seasons and four consecutive state titles! Blew 'em away, 49-26! And other local news.
