I just updated the downloadable "tarball" for the USCVprogs project. If you don't know what a tarball is, then you'll probably want to skip the rest of this post.
The most important update is that there is now a program to extract data from Diebold SOVC PDF files. This is a big step because they are the most commonly used form in which election results are posted to the web. For example, all of Georgia.
I'm greatful for the support I've gotten so far in helping set up the project and administer the webpages (
http://uscvprogs.sf.net) but I could really use another coder or two to work on more parsers and on a basic interactive program to take the parser output files and use them to generate CSV files for spreadsheet import.
Documentation is kinda slim -- if you are trying to use the software and run into problems, use the help forums linked to from the above URL and I'll get an email and will be glad to do some "hand holding."
