DU researchers ... How about a little sleuthing?
Strange things happened in New Mexico when Dem Governor and presidential hopeful Richardson blocked the recount effort at all costs even though Kerry lost by less than 1% of votes and there were 3 times the number of undervotes as the margin of victory. Even odder when you consider that, at the last minute, Kerry asked Richardson to let it go through and he still blocked the recount. This request is from the NM recount and VVPB team:

We need to know about campaign contributions to Richardson – in particular from Ink Impressions AKA- AES (automated election systems) , ES&S, Sequoia, etc.

Still, I think the desired info could be a bit deeper than that, meaning, I don’t know what but we’ll want to scrutinize contributions to Richardson from a variety of sources and fish out anything that’s even mildly odorous.

3. Kissinger
I'm not sure how up-to-date this is but I find it interesting. Seems he is/was Senior Managing Director of Kissinger McLarty Associates.

<snip>

On June 5th 2002 he resigned from the
boards of ten companies. These were:
Diamond Offshore Drilling (of which Alan
Batkin is still a director), Peregrine Systems,
City National Corporation, American Energy
Group Inc., Energy Investors Fund Group,
Valero Corp., Venoco, Hispanic Radio
Network, Intellibridge Expert Network (of
which ex-Kissinger McLarty Associates
managing director David Rothkopf is CEO)
and TerraSolar. He has decided to stay with
Kissinger McLarty Associates (for now at least).
Given that half of these companies and oil and
gas related, his post 9-11 article about the oil
market and the war on terror – concluding: “We
should understand the Realpolitik of the Middle
East, realize that a diverse and competitive global
oil market reduces our economic vulnerabilities
and defend America's national security interests
without fear of setting off an energy crisis” - comes
as no great surprise. His closest ties are with
Veneco.

4. Richardson was Chairman of Freedom House
Freedom House receives funds from Scaife and the National Endowment for Democracy. Freedom House was down in Venezuela during the recall and it is the heavily used by the far right to push their causes. Right now some conservative media (WSJ, NY Sun, the Dallas Morning News and the Moonie Times) are using a Freedom House survey to push the idea that mosques in the US are evil.

Freedom House is a tool used to cause civil unrest in South and Central America.

5. Yea gods! This is very bad. The BushCons have their sights set on...
...overthrowing Hugo Chavez, the president of Venezuela (15% of US oil), though he has been elected THREE TIMES by big margins--the last a BushCon sponsored Recall, heavily vetted by hundreds of international voting groups, including the Carter Center, and the election certified by them all. Chavez only wants a bit of their oil money to trickle down to the masses of extremely poor people in Venezuela. He is no flaming communist or anything. Christ.

6. NED is rotten to the core too -- a CIA tool
funded by Congress, it gets certain activities "off the books" of the government (because it's an NGO, you see) while still getting the job done. Rotten to the core.

And people like Bob Kerrey are involved, as are a number of other so-called Democrats. I often wonder if they really know and understand, or what. It's all nicely "bipartisan. :puke:

8. Let's not forget that Richardson was on JK's "short list" for VP.
Or at least (for some reason), JK 'went through the motions' that he was considering Richardson. Perhaps the Scaife connection?

7. Hedda and all
It just occurred to me -- look back to HIS race(s) as well, any and all of them. Were any of his win(s) unexpected, defied logic or exit polls? (I know NM has been trending blue, but still....)

10. The guy is dirty. If we keep on it a week or two we're going to find dirt
Keep at it, we're bound to find more. I have a lot of info on Freedom House as well, as well as other Opus Dei proxy networks such as Covenant House.

11. Richardson is one of the Clinton Gang..
The more I think about it, the worse it was with them.
They nearly destroyed the progressive wing of the party.
We have to take it back.
Hillary is starting to worry me..

Bottom of the article. Also notice how her views on abortion have been moving steadily right.
