6. Totally agree! My "message" was not very nice!
Haven't we all noticed that the ONLY Iraqi's voting in this farce don't even LIVE in Iraq?

4. Done. You're not "free" if
you can't even venture out of doors simply to register to vote, much less to vote. The Iraqi people are not free. They are occupied, and under seige.

8. Have you checked the other polls...
After you vote and you see the 'results', scroll down. It's kinda funny, it would be hilarious if they weren't talking about the Pres.

9. How can anyone call those elections 'free' -- people are being slaughtered
...and more will be.

Families that have been interviewed have said stuff like "We are all going to go together that way if we die, we all die" (heard by my wife on NPR yesterday).

Or, the family of two girls: mother and father tell the interviewer - "we've decided that one of us will go vote and then the other that way if one of us is killed hopefully the other will still be alive to raise our daughters." (same NPR program yesterday).

I am shaking with rage; the tears steaming down my face, as I type this.

WE MUST STOP THIS WAR.

WE MUST GET OUT OF THAT COUNTRY.

And, we are going to spend decades helping other Nations as they try to repair all the damage Bush and his neocon, theocratic cabal have done in Iraq -- decades. And, it is our responsibility to do whatever we can to restore some credibility and respect for "America."

And, we must never allow an American President to go to war unless aggression against us and our allies is so in our faces we have truly have no choice, i.e., our actual survival is being threatened beyond any doubt.

In other words, WE DO KNOW THE DIFFERENCE between elective war and war as a last resort.

We are living the consequences of two fraudulent presidential elections and those consequences get more horrific ever passing hour.

11. The problem is...
If we pulled out immediately, what do you think the life expectancy of those people interviewed would be?

There are people over there that want democracy bad enough to risk death to vote (and we complain about long lines). Do we just abandon them and let the former ruling class proceed with an ethnic/religious cleansing?

I agree, it's a miserable situation that we shouldn't have gotten ourselves into... but I believe pulling out now would only make it worse.

18. I'm sorry that some Iraqis were led to believe their vote will count:
Or, the family of two girls: mother and father tell the interviewer - "we've decided that one of us will go vote and then the other that way if one of us is killed hopefully the other will still be alive to raise our daughters." (same NPR program yesterday).

I'm sorry, too, that this is their first introduction to "democracy."

14. In this election, the problem is that the dead can't vote.
How many Iraqis had to die, and have yet to die, so a foreign power could overthrow their government and replace it with a sham election?

No election can be fair if that many voters are killed first!!

15. Do You Think The Media Is Stupid?
What kind of a question are they asking? What idiot would even think that an election in Iraq is any sort of real victory? These networks are so frickin' naive and blind, I'm so glad I don't bother watching news on tv anymore.
