3. Wisconsin...
I took a gander at Wisconsin to see what there was.

Most of the organizations listed were Wisconsin Citizen Action Fund and appear to be straight up.

The following need to be done... determine if Wisconsin Citizen Action Fund was the party that gave out the info and if the polling places were somehow based on info from a govt source or other means.

4. WILD IDEA for ELECTION NEXT TIME
How about the polling places include a map to show who can vote??

That way they can check the map when they show up. They should be able to determine if they live within the precinct/ward boundaries.

6. Most counties have a computerized list; most who voted in wrong precinct
was because of deliberate actions by activists, poll workers, and officials to get minority voters to vote in wrong precinct and get their votes rejected. The majority of provisional ballots rejected should be followed up and the officials responsible for the rejection should be held accountable for malfeasance.
Look at some of the cases for why people had their votes rejected. They were virtually all eligible voters who were mislead by someone in the system. Mostly deliberately.

It should be easy for someone to know where to vote. Should not be a maze or obstacle course to go through like it is in minority precincts.

10. What I am suggesting is implementing some procedures...
that will make it more difficult for those at the polling places from doing the run around.

There should be investigations to determine exactly what happen in every case whether they were intentionally mislead or the organization had the wrong information.

2 of the organizations that were mentioned prominently in the Wisconsin section would appear to be orgs that would not be misleading the voters. Unless someone was using their name to discredit them.

5. That was a scam that was done in most states and many counties
They just chose the name of group that had been active in each state and sent out a flyer to thousands in minority precincts using their name with wrong poll info.

This wasn't accidental. It was systematic and done in many dozens of counties.

There was also a lot of registration fraud in many states. And actions to cause minorities to vote in wrong precinct and get their vote rejected.

11. I wonder if their phone was shown on caller-id
We have got to do a better job of determining who is registered and who is not properly registered as well as GOTV.

12. Those being charged here are Dems
Its interesting that while the dirty tricks by Repubs appear to be somewhere over 100 to 1 more than Dems, the 4 cases I know of proscecutions are all of Dems. Those responsible for illegal Repub dirty tricks which were systematic and widespread are known in many cases- yet there have been no prosecutions I'm aware of. I guess Dems just don't worry as much about bad things done to them as do Repubs.

13. No, just most of it in this election.
Based on the eleciton incident reports, dirty tricks appears to have been a regular part of their eleciton strategy as it was used in the urban minority precincts of most swing states and some states that weren't swing states to confuse minority voters and reduce minority votes. I'm not aware of any such Dem dirty trick effort. This was systematic and widespread. See the dt URLs on my website.

There was a lot of systematic fraud in voter registration- Repubs had major effort in Ohio, New Mexico, Nevada, etc. that was publicized where they went into minority areas, signed up Dems who then thought they were registered, but threw away the cards.
But some nonpartisan(Dem leaning like Acorn) organizaitons paid people to sign up voters on a cost per signup basis, and some of those doing the signup did fraudulent things, like making up names and addresses to get money paid and some may also not have turned in cards of Repubs they signed.
But this had no connection to Dem party like the others did to Repub party.

9. Berniew1, have you thought about writing a book using your information?
Bev Harris started her book on less information than what you've accrued. If you should decide to self-publish something, let me and other DU-ers know and I'll bet you could get enough money to do it. I think David Allen (?) of Plan9 Publishing helped Bev and might be willing to help others in getting this continuing saga out. The more that's out there the better.

14. I'm not sure a books the best way, though anything helps I guess
I have limited time and have to try to figure out what has the best payout. I did this thinking some Organization would pick it up and distribute it and publicize it, I supplied it to Common Cause and others. But I'm not aware that anyone has done a press release or publicized it. So I guess I might have to try to find a way myself.

I think there are obvious illegal acts and malfeasance in most states that people there should follow up on. This shouldn't be allowed to go on.

Someone on here who knew people at the NY Times stated that reporters like it when the work is already done.

20. Uh...pass
The last book of this type I did has nearly driven me out of business due to legal bills and lost revenue and has cost me two years of personal and professional grief, not to mentione blackened my name.

I'll have to give it a miss.

David Allen
