Asian backlash for Rice's stupid remarks has already started
Edited on Tue Jan-18-05 08:06 PM by RaulVB
These incompetent morons are going to get us all killed one day...

http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/afp_asiapacific/view/128060/1/.html

Guys, find these links and SEND THEM TO THE corporate media!

She gave us an opening!

- Moreover (edit):

"Rice easily navigated most of the questions put to her. But she drew a strong rebuke from Democratic Senator Barbara Boxer for describing last month's Asian tsunami disaster as a "wonderful opportunity" for the US relief efforts to reap "great dividends" on the diplomatic front.

"The tsunami was one of the worst tragedies of our lifetime," Boxer said. "And it's going to have a 10-year impact on rebuilding that area. I was very disappointed in your statement. I think you blew the opportunity."

"Easily" is quite debatable but Boxer's tough challenge is making its way around the world!

1. And the best part is...
...the article has a photo of Rice and Swinestein grinning like the clueless idiots that they are.

5. Now you understand
why India told them thanks but no thanks. Never an honorable thought from these people - it's never about humanity only self interest. They are unbelievably vulgar and lack class and compassion - but we already know about this posse.

6. Thought it worthwhile to share the exact way Senator Boxer nailed...
....Scumdalezza on her unconscionable tsunami comment:

"Dr. Rice, before I get to my formal remarks, you no doubt will be confirmed -- that's at least what we think. And if you're going to become the voice of diplomacy -- this is just a helpful point -- when Senator Voinovich mentioned the issue of tsunami relief, you said -- your first words were, "The tsunami was a wonderful opportunity for us." Now, the tsunami was one of the worst tragedies of our lifetime -- one of the worst -- and it's going to have a 10-year impact on rebuilding that area. I was very disappointed in your statement. I think you blew the opportunity. You mention it as part of one sentence. And I would hope to work with you on this, because children are suffering, we're worried they're going to get in the sex trade. This thing is a disaster, a true natural disaster and a human disaster of great proportions, ..."

10. What a wonderful opportunity...
nature saved us from having to bomb the towel-head Muslims. Now we can hurry up and send the Christian fundy missionaries in there to force people to listen to our fundy crap before receving life-saving services.

What a wonderful opportunity.

9. Unreal...then there's the torture non-answer...
...and her insistance in muddying up of IRAQI CITIZENS with 'terrorists'.

CONDI, The AREN'T "Al Queda", they're INNOCENT CITIZENS who were released the next day. Boxer called her on that as well.

Boxer revealed Condi also personally had anti-torture language stricken from the intel. report despite ALL senators approving it....and that McCain personally drafted the language.

...and they didn't even touch the FAILURE of 9-11.

In a sane world CONdi would be facing jail time.

13. They are showing their true colors. Can't wait to hear how they
try to spin their way out of this. Senator Dodd did a great job cornering her on the torture issue. It is time for all true Republicans (as opposed to neocon(victs) to step up and say NOT IN OUR NAME! Are there any free thinking republicans left out there? We're waiting.

14. What is tragic is this...if they have the guts to tell * about this
interview and they explain this to him...he's not going to get it. He won't understand what was wrong with what his 'wife' said.

15. They seem to have similar personalities.
Nothing going on upstairs in the warm and fuzzy department. Almost like some kind of sociopath.

Quite freaky if you ask me.

That's always bothered me about Condi.
