The mods moved this but it belongs here as it is in regards to the 2004 election. Here is my original post and the responses:

... URL on his head? How many DUers are concerned about e-fraud? Could we all donate a buck and have this guy put our URL on his forehead? He's gotten worldwide press about his doing this and whomever wins the bid will no doubt get the same WORLDWIDE press.

It's a hairbrained suggestion I know but hell, crazier things have worked!

5. yea.. that's why I was wondering how many DUers

Edited on Thu Jan-13-05 04:41 AM by helderheid
were active on this cause. 22k donating $2 doubles the bid. Of course, there are logistics of the whole thing to consider as far as getting the money together. Still, I'd LOVE to stick it to the media!!

6. OOH

We could start a website called www.themediasucks.com and post all the news on the fraud and Jan 6 on that site - you'd get republicans on the site too who still believe in that liberal media crap.

3. Great!
Any ideas on how many here (I'm sure we're in the thousands) are convinced the 2004 election was stolen and would donate a buck or 2?

5. Last I saw
22,000 bucks

If there are at least as many here willing to donate 2 bucks, we double the bid and stick it to the media.

9. It's a unique and not altogether wacky idea
But we couldn't even get $1,000 for roses for Congress in a week.

Maybe if this guy does well, though, others will follow, and we'd have more time.

10. not unless
(and I feel so dumb for not thinking about this before) we had people at Air America Radio donate, or celebs - we just need to let them know in time and why in time. Randi Rhodes raised a ton of money for blackboxvoting.org in 24 hours. We can do this if we contact the right people!

13. Look at the Q&A at the bottom of the auction. . .
the guy's a dittohead. He'd most likely try to find a way to weasel out of it.
