Edited on Wed Jan-12-05 03:59 PM by genius
I also believe ten donors much post that they want one to create one.

1. You guys who are hoping for impeachment
Should all go to Washington, encircle the White House and chant until you can levitate it, then invert it and shake all the evil out of it. Far more practical course of action.

9. Well, then, I guess
WE HAVE WORK TO DO.

The impossible will take a little while. But I have no doubt that the majority of America will become disgusted with the rot. If we are to believe the presidential vote numbers (which I don't), almost half the country is already disgusted. Shouldn't take too much more to get a clear majority on board.

Of course this means that our current Dem legislators are going to have to grow a spine. Where is Chris Reeve when you need him???

14. the Pub reps
are not all on board with *. Take Tancredo, for instance. He's got a nice big bloc in Congress that will oppose *'s "immigration reform". The tide is turning. Think positive.

16. Don't they oppose his immigration policy
Because they think it's lenient?

17. well, Tancredo said:
"Why is this so important to the president? Is it just the corporate interests who benefit from cheap labor?"

So if they will oppose * in significant numbers on grounds of pandering to corporate interests, I don't think all is as lost and gloomy as you seem to think it is.

5. When confronted with indisputable and insurmountable evidence
of high crimes and misdemeanors, the repugs will drop * like their lives depended on it - it it will! If they don't they're going to have to answer for it at the polls. I personally think an iron clad case will be prosecuted.

8. I doubt it
By the Eighties the Dems already lacked the cojones to impeach Reagan over Iran-Contra. I find it highy unlikely the vermin passing for republicans these days would suddenly come over the the side of righteousness.

10. Hahaha!!! You are surely right, BUTTT...
It would be a central place to discuss and track Impeachable Crimes... to collect and disseminate crime information. Yeah, sure, he most likely will not be impeached, but it would be interesting to track these things in order to have them at hand for reference and highlighting to media and others (the Hague) in the future.

13. This is why I voted yes
I like the idea of keeping a vault of all of Shrubya's illegal activities in one place for easy reference. I agree that he probably won't ever be impeached (given the stranglehold on the government and the media), but it is nice to have your facts straight when having to deal with people who actually voted for Commander Chickenhawk.

7. I voted no because
it is all part and parcel of election reform and investigating the fraud of this past election. A continuum of investigating, documenting, airing... resulting in fair elections, exposure of the fraud and who took part in it, and hopefully impeachment.

15. Impeachment may be part and parcel to election reform, however...
The same could be said of Plame, Gharib, 911, etc.

Separate board. If you can't check multiple boards, you probably can't save democracy.

18. Voted yes because then we'd have more focused discussion
I'd still attend to both the vote side and the impeachment side, but this little big of organizing would help me out as I sift through what I can do, day to day.

20. There were meetup groups formed during his first term- and we have
a basis for it in this illegal war. So I think we should start talking impeachment even though its unlikely at this point. Besides, who knows how much he's going to anger the Republicans?
