The Florida Myth Spreads
The Florida Myth Spreads

The National Review Online's Peter Kirsanow says activists against minority-voter disenfranchisement, first in Florida, now in Ohio, should pipe down and accept it for what it is ? a myth.

The paragraph above is from Excite. It is a link to CBS news. CBS has it labeled as opinion, but Excite has it under political news. Get read for the "Ministry of Dis-Information"

1. Who wants to bet Kirsanow didn't have a ten hour wait to vote?
*sigh* I didn't expect anything less.

3. Students were disenfranchised also
We are in a college area (UCF) and the early voting site here had a long line. The line stretched all the way to the street. The average wait was 2 hours!

This was not isolated to one or two days, it was every single day the site was open. There was plenty of time to fix the problem.

4. That's right, Peter, and our ancestors' slaves ENJOYED slavery
It's just a myth that they were oppressed, intimidated, and denied the same civil rights as MR. BIG EFFIN' WHITE MALE.

I don't care how subtle it is, racism is racism. And denying that it's there doesn't make it so.

:nuke:

6. Love That - No Subtlety Involved!
That's a superb sentiment - racism is racism. What a sick WASPs-only club it's become!
