1. I voted "Other"
I think the issue of Election Integrity is very important. I say call the forum "Election Watch" or something similar.

27. I voted no because I want a separate impeachment forum. I'll join.

4. Not that I don't agree with the sentiment, but I voted "Other"
I could live with separate forums, but I definitely think a specific forum on Election Reform is needed.

7. I vote NO...leave it as it is...
I think we are still posting about "2004 Election Results and Discussion". This is not just the Kerry-Bush race, either: there were other races and issues on ballots (how about Martinez in Florida, for example?). If * gets impeached so much the better but that may be for other reasons than *just* cheating on the election.

9. Election Integrity & Reform should be the new name of this
form, and a new one created on impeadhing B* & C*.

It may be that election fraud will be the one that brings them down, but the two should be kept separate, as there are/will be many more crimes of the * administration.

12. Separate issues. Impeachment could come any number of ways.
This election is a turning point in U.S. electoral history, and deserves its own forum, IMO.

but feel that it should just drop the 2004 and simply call it Election Results and Discussion to prevent anyone from getting lost.
We will be concentrating on the next elections so the 2004 is getting a little obsolete. Edited before I get flamed, lol, not saying that what happened is obsolete--it surely isn't and will be proven in time--but just dropping the year so that we can get everyone in the right place. Thats just one woman's opinion.:bounce:

24. I totally agree but
Elections 2006 and 2008 are crimes in progress.
Just want to make sure we have everyone in the right place to investigate 2004 but keeping their eyes on the next elections.

25. Understood.
However, 2K4 is an ongoing crime, as well.

Look at all the malfeance since the polls closed. Most recently, Blackwell's letter.

18. You have to show Bush KNEW a crime was being committed.
For the proof, I think you would have to have him on tape, or on video talking about committing a crime or urging others to commit a crime. Otherwise, no impeachment.

22. I voted "Other." I think it's getting ahead of ourselves.
There is no hope for impeachment (no matter what Bush does--really!) until we get back our right to vote.

I think we can do it in a year, with highly focused, local grass roots groups working in each jurisdiction--state, county--to achieve...

A) paper ballots
B) hand counts

or, at least

A) a first count paper receipt (takes precedence over electronic tally in any recount)
B) open source code

and C) honest Exit Polls to check for fraud (like they do everywhere else in the civilized world).

Most people would agree that elections should be fair. We have more influence locally than in Congress.

Congress is a positive menace on this issue, in my opinion--and, in any case, the BushCons are NOT going to give us back our right to vote. It's not going to happen.

So WE have to do it. And we can! Then...

WE are the majority. I'm firmly convinced of this. Kerry won by AT LEAST %5, possibly more. Those who want sanity in our government, and no pre-emptive war, are the majority. (Just look at the polls! Bush approval rating at 48%--the lowest of any 2nd term president since WWII. And almost 60% disapprove of the war.)

So, we CAN elect a progressive Congress in 2006. We have the numbers. If we can only get our votes COUNTED!

Paper ballots now! Impeachment later!

I think we should call it the "Paper Ballots Now (because of Election Fraud in 2004)" Forum.

...Skinner's reply indicated that the forum was serving the purpose it was designed to with the current name.
