I live in Columbus, Ohio
Help!

I feel like I am trapped in a very bad movie with a simple plot.

You see a murder
You know it took place
Nobody believes you
The body is hidden
But every day you see more proof of the crime
the proof is not hard to find
and the bad guys are bragging .......
........... Just like tomorrow ken blackwell will be speaking 3 miles from my house
at a country club on ethics.

:loveya: floating hearts so I can get some pity sex from those wild K.O.

1. You see a murder, Nobody believes you -- Well said!
I've felt like this often in the past - with the theft of the 2004 Elections; with the bizarre claims that there were WMD's in Iraq.

I keep saying what I know aloud and hoping that if some of the doubters around me notice that I seem to keep getting these things right, eventually they will listen to me.

In the meantime I hang out here, and read alternative news, and watch movies that have a greater basis in reality than the TV news (like "Bob Roberts" - way, cool!).

5. NW Ohio? No wonder you hate it.
Not much out there. Even in Toledo. If you're gonna live in Ohio, you must come to the Northeast. Akron-Cleveland Metro is by far the bluest corner of the state.

Hell, even the conservative leaning, over-scrutinized, bellwether swing county Stark (Canton) here went for Kerry this time. This is only the third time in 40 years that they've apparently picked the "wrong" presidential candidate.

15. Toledo is in a very blue county (Lucas)....Went big for KERRY.
But I agree: Cleveland is a better place. That's where I went on my honeymoon, to visit a swell museum at Case Western. What can I say? I married a painter and a museum was his idea of a romantic setting. I think Columbus is in central Ohio, not northwestern, but I'm bad at geography, so maybe not.

19. Actually, Columbus proper is pretty cool
Although the surrounding Central Ohio counties are still mostly red, the city itself and the rest of Franklin County is increasingly becoming blue. Doesn't quite match Cleveland for soul and culture, though. Unless, of course, you're a genuine fan of OSU Football. But it's the only other place where I'd live in this state.

4. Systematic widespread vote machine fraud, dirty tricks, suppression of min
There was widespread and systematic voter suppression of minority voters, dirty tricks, vote machine fraud, tricks and other vote manipulation in Ohio, New Mexico, and Florida- that was of magnitude enough to call in question who won those states.

and also similar patterns in other states where the suppression and fraud did not change the election results including vote machine fraud in Calif., Pennsylvania, Washington, Texas, etc.

(the voter suppression of minorities in Mercer County is the worst I've ever seen-followup needed)

The unethical and illegal actions were so systematic and widespread that this cannot be allowed to continue uninvestigated and unpunished. There was a huge amount of obvious malfeasance and dirty tricks that should be investigated and dealt with

6. There's something people can do in Ohio, Florida, etc.
Edited on Tue Jan-11-05 11:36 PM by berniew1
There were hundreds of thousands directyly affected by the vote machine fraud(in counties where it occurred) as well as everyone by election as a whole; but also hundreds of thousands directly affected by the documented dirty tricks and systematic suppression of minority voters. All of these are illegal actions and should be followed up on and not allowed to go unpunished. So people can identify those who were affected, get affidavits filled out; document those responsible- not hard since thousands of incidents are reported in the www.voteprotect.org EIRS hotline data base. Then follow up by filling ethics complaints, notifying proper authorities and prosecutors, Conyors, etc. It shouldn't be hard to identiby thousands directly affected- we know where they are and in some cases who they were and who was responsible from the EIRS reports. All that is needed is some organized follow up- a little of which is already being done-but at rather slow pace currently.

I'm in Bexley. If Blackwell gets gov. next time around, I swear I'll move. (If we're still allowed to cross state lines without permission, that is).
