Does anyone have random personal stories of CONGRESSIONAL election fraud?
I think we've missed something important here. How did the Repukes gain so much ground in the House and Senate? If the House and Senate had gone Democratic, the Bush Administration could be impeached and removed for higher crimes than Nixon ever committed. But if the Republicans and their voting machine firms can rig a Presidential race, they can rig Congressional races too.

Who noticed anything suspicious in Congressional races where you live? Any little thing to get the ball rolling here!

1. Congressional fraud likely in the SAME PLACES as Presidential..
If there is a big fraud system on the ground, as seems to be the case in Florida, it would likely be used in not just Presidential races, but key Congressional races as well.

This is just a suggestion to get you thinking. We need to get this figured out BEFORE 2006!

2. Hope someone comes up with something.
It doesn't make sense that they're throwing us out of office in droves. There must be more to it.

3. I think I'll look into what happened to Tom Daschle first.
I'm also looking for anything that might have made it into Scoop's huge "American Coup" section:

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

5. Thanks for bringing this up, Dancing Dave....Here in N.C.....
There is no frikkin' WAY that Burr (a totally whacko, mental, extreme right wing puke) beat out Erskin Bowles. NO WAY!!

There were some problems with the voting machines here, so bad that they're still not sure who won Agicultural Secretary -- which is BIG in a big farming state like N.C.! They look like they're totally re-voting in one or two counties.

But I want some state bureau of investigation people checking the forensics on the voting machines and tabulators in this state.

Do other states, besides N.C. have "STATE" bureau of investigations? (SBI)? ESPECIALLY in the Democratic-run states we should be pushing for this.

7. I heard from my brother in Durham
About how fouled up and corrupted the NC election seemed to be. Burr vs. Bowles would be an interesting race to study! :)

6. I noticed on election night how many of the improbable races seemed to
switch about the same time the presidential race did. For instance Jim Bunning of KY, or that creep from OK.

9. On The News Right After The Election They Were Talking To The Republicans
Edited on Sat Jan-08-05 10:52 PM by PennyMan
The Reporter Said I Heard That In Order For You To Get More House Seats
You Went To The State Of Texas And Redistricted Each County So There Would Be More Republican Voters Then Democratic Voters, So When It Come Time To Vote You Would Have The Upper Hand. I Don't Remember Who They Were But They Told The Reporter There Wasn't Anything Wrong With That The Democratics Do It All The Time. I Don't Know If This Is Fraud But It Sure Doesn't Sound Like It Would Be Fair.

10. This alone from New Media Communications is enough to make one wonder
Edited on Sat Jan-08-05 10:50 PM by Ojai Person
From their website:

NMC Clints Win Big In Key Races
Company Bats 1.00 in 2004 Election

CLEVELAND, OHIO - You might call it the best kind of "November Surprise" for New Media Communications (NMC). With the declaration of President George W. Bush as winner of the presidential election, the company emerged from the 2004 General Election with a perfect score. "Every client who turned to us for online strategy and Internet solutions came out a winner," NMC President Mike Connell said.

From the White House to Capitol Hill, New Media clients garnered victories that surprised the pundits and made political history:

Most notable was the Bush/Cheney '04 Presidential campaign. President Bush won 51.1% of the popular vote, enabling him to start off his second term with a mandate. Bush was the first U.S. President to garner a majority of the popular vote since his father did the same in 1988. He earned a record breaking 58.9 million votes -- more than any other U.S. President .

In his South Dakota Senate race, former Congressman John Thune scored an upset over current Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle in the most expensive Senate race in history. This marked the first time since 1952 that a seated Senate leader has been defeated in a re-election bid.

David Vitter made history as the first Republican to earn a Senate seat in Louisiana since Reconstruction. He gathered a decisive 51.6% of the votes in an unusual three-way "open primary," thereby avoiding a runoff election.

In Ohio, Senator George Voinovich won a second term with a comfortable 63.9% of the votes.

Seven congressional seats went to Republicans whose websites and electronic communications campaigns were created by New Media. Far from shoe-ins, many of these pivotal races were highly competitive to historic proportions:

Minnesota's Mark Kennedy emerged the victor after weathering fierce and blatant attacks from Michael Moore in "Fahrenheit 911."

Geoff Davis of Kentucky faced down Nick Clooney, a former television host, whose campaign was heavily supported by friends of Clooney's son, Hollywood actor George Clooney.

Robert Simmons and Heather Wilson won hotly contested battles in Connecticut and New Mexico, respectively.

Joe Barton of Texas, Mike Turner of Ohio, and Kenny Hulshof of Missouri, rounded out the list of successful candidates who turned to NMC for Internet identity solutions.

15. My uncle said that Minnesota Dems gained seets in the State Legislature
Along with Kerry taking the state in a huge, over 70% turnout.

So does Mark Kennedy really have some special personal popularity in Minnesota, that would cause ticket splitting in his favor?

Electronic voting machines were suspected by many after the 2002 Senate race supposedly lost by Mondale.

What companies machinery was used where Mark Kennedy was elected?

11. Well, there's the voting machine co (ES&S) connection to Sen. Chuck Hagel.
Edited on Sat Jan-08-05 11:04 PM by FreepFryer
From the wikipedia article at:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2004_U.S._presidential_election_controversy%2C_voting_machines#Specific_issues_related_to_voting_machine_companies

As noted elsewhere (Sources: http://www.independent-media.tv/item.cfm?fmedia_id=9751&fcategory_desc=Top%20Stories%20Ignored%20By%20U.S.%20Media , http://www.yesmagazine.org/article.asp?ID=683 , http://www.ecotalk.org/UrosevichBrothers.htm , http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2004_U.S._presidential_election_controversy%2C_voting_machines#Specific_issues_relating_to_ES.26S_machines_and_political_links

Chuck Hagel, the previous chairman of ES&S, another major manufacturer of voting machines and still a $1m stock-holder in McCarthy & Co which owns a quarter of ES&S ( http://www.mccarthygroupinc.com/investments.asp ), became a Republican candidate. Hagel's Democratic opponent made a formal protest to the state of Nebraska over the conflict of interest. Hagel had significant AIS holdings when the company counted the votes for his surprise election victory in 1996. Hagel has been scrutinized by the Senate Ethics Committee over his investments in the McCarthy Group. ES&S, which counted 80% ( http://www.opednews.com/fitrakis032204_diebold.htm ) of the votes when Hagel was elected in 1996 and re-elected in 2002, is a subsidiary of the McCarthy Group, according to The Hill. ( http://www.blackboxvoting.com/modules.php?name=News&file=print&sid=24 , http://www.thehill.com/news/012903/hagel.aspx )

When Hagel stepped down as head of this company to compete for the Senate, he became "...the first Republican in 24 years to win a Senate seat in Nebraska, nearly all on unauditable machines he had just sold the state ... including many largely black communities that had never before voted Republican". (Source http://www.commondreams.org/views04/1104-38.htm )

Hagel also was recently caught lying about his ownership of ES&S by the Senate Ethics Committee, and was on a short list of George W. Bush's vice-presidential candidates. ( http://nastyboys.blogspot.com/2004/12/20-amazing-facts-about-voting-in-usa.html )

Jeb Bush's first choice as running mate in 1998 was Sandra Mortham, a paid lobbyist for ES&S who received a commission for every county that bought its touch-screen machines. The Hill's revelations of Hagel's conflict of interest was disturbing enough to cause Jan Baran, one of the most powerful Republican lawyers in Washington D.C., and Lou Ann Linehan, Senator Chuck Hagel's Chief of Staff, to walk into The Hill's offices to "discuss" the story. "According to the author of the article, Alex Bolton, nothing similar had happened in the three-and-a-half years he's worked for the paper." ( http://americanassembler.com/issues/democracy/docs/how_gw_won_2004.html )

14. More on Hagel, Hastert & DeLay's collusion to avoid verifiable voting
From:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2004_U.S._presidential_election_controversy%2C_voting_machines#Specific_issues_relating_to_ES.26S_machines_and_political_links

Thom Hartmann stated in CommonDreams.org (Nov 4 2004, http://www.commondreams.org/views04/1104-38.htm ):

"About two years ago , I wrote a story for these pages, "If You Want To Win An Election, Just Control The Voting Machines," ( http://www.commondreams.org/views03/0131-01.htm ) that exposed how Senator Chuck Hagel had, before stepping down and running for the U.S. Senate in Nebraska, been the head of the voting machine company (now ES&S) that had just computerized Nebraska's vote. The Washington Post (1/13/1997) said Hagel's "Senate victory against an incumbent Democratic governor was the major Republican upset in the November election." According to Bev Harris, Hagel won virtually every demographic group, including many largely black communities that had never before voted Republican. Hagel was the first Republican in 24 years to win a Senate seat in Nebraska, nearly all on unauditable machines he had just sold the state." ( http://www.blackboxvoting.org/bbv_chapter-8.pdf pdf)

(The same author also notes in respect of audit trail that "Congressman Rush Holt introduced a bill into Congress requiring a voter-verified paper ballot be produced by all electronic voting machines, and it's been co-sponsored by a majority of the members of the House of Representatives. The two-year battle fought by Dennis Hastert and Tom DeLay to keep it from coming to a vote, thus insuring that there will be no possible audit of the votes of about a third of the 2004 electorate, has fueled the flames...")

From:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2004_U.S._presidential_election_controversy%2C_voting_machines#Specific_issues_relating_to_Wyle_machines_and_political_links

"Texas billionaires Sam and Charles Wyly were the ninth-biggest contributors to George W. Bush in 2000, and Sam Wyly bankrolled the dirty tricks that wiped out John McCain’s lead during the South Carolina primary."

"You would expect that a company that certifies our voting machines would not have its owners running for office. You would also expect that no one who owns the certification company would be under criminal investigation … Shortly after Wyle Laboratories split off from Wyle Electronics in 1994, controlling interest was acquired by William E. Simon & Sons, a firm owned by a former Secretary of the Treasury, William E. Simon, and his son, Bill Simon, a candidate for governor of California in 2002. Just before the election, in August 2002, William E. Simon & Sons was convicted of fraud and ordered to pay $78 million in damages."

"In what is surely record time for our glacial judicial system, the conviction was overturned in September 2002. The reason? William E. Simon & Sons had partnered up with someone who was a criminal and no one could tell who was the guiltiest."

"Recently, Wyle Laboratory shares held by William E. Simon & Sons were bought out. Now Wyle Laboratories is a wholly owned subsidiary of LTS Holdings, Inc., an entity I can find no information about, controlled by individuals whose names are not available."

20. This is just to obvious
Hagel's running the company then using the machines
to make his victory.

This just gets stranger and strange.
Are these guys really this stupid?

I hope someone is looking into this. There
has got to be a connection.

...that Christine Cegelis' name wasn't on the sample ballot running against Henry "Sugar Daddy" Hyde for the House. They "claim" that it was a simple cut and paste error. Yeah, right... You'd think that *someone* would have proofed the candidates for the biggest local race...or maybe they did. ?!? Shortly before the election, there was a reprint, but who reads reprints?

It was the first time a Dem candidate had a real chance against Hyde. Cegelis campaigned her butt off while Hyde, due to health reasons and arrogance, only made a handful of public appearances.

grrrrrrrrr

Fraud? Hmmm... Suspicious? You betcha.

Martin Frost, Charlie Stenholm, and three (?) others lost simply because they were drawn into Repub districts.
