Question on vote to oppose seating of electors: No votes
http://clerk.house.gov/cgi-bin/vote.asp?year=2005&rollnumber=7

The above is the House record on Thursday's vote. I'm trying to figure out who didn't turn up and who chose to abstain. You'll notice the above link has certain names in bold type and others in italics. What does that designate?

No such distinction appears on the Senate tally. Is there a way to determined who deliberately abstained vs. those who didn't turn up for work?

1. Dems are italics, Roman letters are Repukes, Indys are underlined

Cannot figure out why some names have their state next to them, and some don't. Don't know how to figure who was not there, and who abstained.

5. I know Kerry was not there, and his entry is no different than any other,
so there seems to be no way to tell...
