I DON'T BELIEVE ANYMORE DOOHICKIE !!!!
I don't care what anyone says about finding the silver lining and we got them to start talking about it. Blah, blah, blah.

What happened today, is by far, one of the darkest days for our democracy. Utter appeasement! Turning your back on evil is equally criminal.

I am ashamed of our party, for our silent, soul-less democratic senators and representatives who voted NAY. I am pissed at Kerry for saying "no evidence to overturn" (he set the mood for today). I am sad for the setback of the civil rights progress our country has made. I am just friggin sick to my stomach.

Today, it is crystal clear that WE, along with the true patriots who voted YEA and all those who fought in public to bring this TRAVESTY to light, are the ONLY ones who will change this country for the better and deserve any support whatsoever.

1. Nothing wrong with being mad, just be sure you let 'em know
Write a fiery letter while you're mad, then after you cool down, make sure it's polite and send it.

As long as you tell them you're a deeply disappointed Dem, they'll take the hint, and then the blood will really start to spill!

:toast:

(Chimp blood that is)

2. Can't imagine cooling down at any time in the near future. But
I guess it shouldn't be a surprise today since they haven't spoken up since 11-2.

3. laura you're brave to start this thread
We're supposed to be doing a dance of joy because we got a couple of crumbs thrown our way-I guarantee this will get very little press and we will be back to business as usual. The Dems who made great speeches and then voted nay really pissed me off-always trying to have it both ways. I'm sorry but I'm disappointed today.

4. Love your User Name! I haven't seen the speeches
yet - ran out of work early to see the tail end - then Cheney got up there and I turned on TLC where they are making curtains.

I can understand how anyone who cares could possibly see any silver lining today.

6. You're right. All this is forgotten a week from now.
We'll be talking about privatizing social security, 100B more for Iraq, drilling in the arctic, amending the constitution to eliminate fillibusters, invading Iran, and more.

There will be a lot that we aren't talking about, and election reform will be one of them.

8. I'm still big on finding the fraud. Maybe get a whistleblower.
Wow, that would make me happy again. And watching ** screw everything up even more except for the millions of people it affects.

14. Yep
I've said for weeks that a whistleblower is the only way to get these guys. Even then....

Remember, Sibel Edmons is gagged 'indefinitely' from talking about important information.

7. I stopped believing about 8:30 on election night....great reports...
during the day, but something started to not smell right.

Since then, Kerry has been scarce to be found and has not
shown any leadership at all.

11. Yes, you can't overanalyze basic right and wrong like he did.
You have to forget that and shout it from the rooftops. You are right, I am in DC and heard good reports all day. It was beautiful, walked by the Wash monument and was so happy. And then later, Knowing record numbers still waiting in line and ** being ahead, the lightbulb came on.

15. I DON'T BELIEVE ANYMORE EITHER!!
I've thought about 2day's events in such a way to really make me see things in a disturbing light.

The way I see it, this was such a (to use a baseball analysis) brushback from our own government. For the most part, they don't care about our rights!! If they did, where were the votes? 74-1 in the senate (I'm only capitalizing them when they deserve it from now on!)...gimme a friggin' break!! I guess the other 25 didn't feel it was worth their precious time. More of our esteemed senators found their way to the talley machine when they gave ** authority 2 invade Iraq or to establish the Patriot act, than voted to affirm the electors from Ohio...what's right w/ that picture?
They gave us lip-service today..I guess that's all they think we're worthy of..

but back to the brushback....they threw us a changeup in reverse...if that's possible, @ the beginning of the day w/ Sen. Boxer's announcement (she's the greatest, BTW and cap'd) we thought we were getting a fastball...right down the pike...but when the ball crossed the plate, the senate threw us a slider...low and right @ us...

well I gotta put my daughter down 4 bed...Peace & Good Vibes 2 all!

where Congress did not want the pictures to be shown Congress now does not want you to know how much fraud is out there.

20. Do realize how much evidence is out there, but the dots are not connected
yet? I do believe that we should Keep a list of those that voted yea and nay. Let's see where this OPENED door leads though before we start condemning them. Democracy has been dying in this country for a while. It is not completely dead yet. yes the rich and "powerful" now hold us hostage, but we squeaked today! This is how revolutions get started. BushCo will collect enough shit to roll down hill for a very long time if we do not GIVE UP! That is what the thugs want us to do. Every time we squeak more people hear us!

dream about the day when the dots are connected. I still believe that the truth eventually wins. I mean when I was against the Iraq war I think to here was less than 20% -- no I think its close to 60%

25. That's not the point!
We wanted our leaders to draw a line in the sand. A bright shiny blue line stating we will NOT put up with this crap any more. Sadly, they cowered in fear like the cowards they have become.
