? To all those who think people who are upset are Kerry Bashing
Edited on Wed Jan-05-05 10:32 PM by HeyManThatsCool
To everyone who takes such a hard line on "Kerry Bashing" (I guess being fed up and disgusted with someone who LITERALLY promised to fight election fraud & said he would fight fight fight is wrong)

Let me ask you the following questions.

(1) What has John Kerry SPECIFICALLY done about the election problems that make you feel supportive of him? I mean something TANGIBLE that he's done... not a theory or a hope. Not some "I bet behind the scenes...." story

(2) What about John Kerry makes you believe that he is above reproach?

(3) Was he the perfect candidate?

(4) Is it wrong to question any candidates actions or motives- or is this reserved just to John Kerry?

(5) Do you honestly feel John Kerry should have conceded on November 3?

(6) If John Kerry does NOT stand up to pursue the election problems, are you comfortable supporting him in 2008?

(7) Why do you feel it is necessary to attack- yep, I said it- ATTACK- anyone who doesn't agree with YOU?

edited to take out question 8 because people thought it was rude.
I am sorry. It was not my finest moment.

5. Sorry, too busy faxing Senators and Calling Frist and Hastert. . .
Which by the way, I thought was a great suggestion by, of all people, John Kerry. . .having the people turn up the heat on Frist and Hastert re investigation and reform.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

Speaker Dennis Hastert: 1-202-225-0600
Leader Bill Frist: 1-202-224-3135

And please report that you've made your call right here:

6. Kerry's intelligent.
Bush is stupid.

That ends it for me.

I voted for Kerry-Edwards.

I'd vote them again tomorrow.

If you don't like Senator Kerry, you could have voted for Bush or Nader or any of the other independent candidates.

Don't see the point of your smear job this late in the game.

I'd vote for Kerry over Bush tomorrow.

22. Questions #7 and #8 push it past "OPINION" and into "FLAMEBAIT"
and that's my considered opinion based on the rhetoric of those two questions.

9. I DIDNT
vote for Bush or Nader in this election & I STILL WOULDNT.

I voted for Kerry because I BELIEVED.
IMHO he proved me wrong & does not inspire faith from ME for a future run.

13. Your choice.
Not mine.

His role was not to appease your aspirations, really.

He ran a good enough campaign to garner a record number of Democrat votes. The GOP had more (if they didn't cheat), but Kerry holds the record.

Those votes mean something, whether you feel uplifted or not by a given candidacy.

Right?

Unless you tow the line here at DU anymore, you're considered a "troll." I'd say the MSM is getting their way, turning DU into a simmering pot of finger pointing and nastiness.

12. Thank you.
Those of us who worked hard to get him elected only to be betrayed by him are considered Kerry-bashers. We are the ones who are still trying to get him the presidency that he doesn't seem to want.

14. HeyMan -- You are ALLOWED your frustration with Kerry...
I have been a true Kerry supporter for months now, giving him the benefit of the doubt about working behind the scenes, even giving him the benefit of the doubt that he will work long-term to reveal the breadth and depth of the fraud and convict the bad dudes even if the smoking gun isn't available on 1/6.

I nonetheless still FEEL frustrated with him at times. I am tired and I want to be rescued.

I am not waiting for the rescue - I am working. I spent the day calling and FAX'ing and sending emails to hundreds of people to ask them to do the same.

I do see that Kerry being in Iraq is a good strategy and I am still frustrated that he isn't in the midst.

:(

I am making the calls & sending the faxes. The numbers in Kerry's letter were the best things about it.

I know almost everyone here is still working their butts off. I'm pissed at KERRY for not working as hard!

24. yup.
I started as an ABBer, then worked hard to get Kerry elected as I came to believe more and more in him. I am still working and am frustrated too. I'll try and try again. Wish someone I supported would get into power sometime. Maybe I should vote for bushites next time and they won't resume power.

17. Kerry was/is the perfect candidate
He has been involved to some extent... his lawyers have been involved, and he stepped in. I'm somewhat disappointed there wasn't more, but I believe he has his reasons and he knows the legalities, he knows more than we do about this whole mess... I think he's being true to himself and what's the best course of action right now. He has not left us either. I hope people will continue to stand by him as he continues to do good things. I was disappointed he conceded so soon too, but again, I think he truly believed (as he seems to now) that there was no way to overturn Bush or get all "the goods" we needed in time. Perhaps he had some hope too, as things started coming out... but the repub powers that be are working against us here.

actually wanted a dialogue. Your eighth question indicates that you just want to snipe.

Whatever.

23. Bunny Planet...
I'm frustrated.

really.... reallly....... really.... frustrated

I have been here for a few weeks & I have to say.
Democratic Underground is a joke. I definately see that the intention was good- & that the Moderators are looking for a positive discourse that will enhance Democratic Knowledge nationwide.

But there are more and more people here who literally HATE anyone who doesn't fall into line.

I don't buy that I have to love John Kerry & remain loyal to him ...even though I am soooo soooo dissapointed in him. He is NOT the man I thought he was. The man I voted for and the man who wrote that letter are worlds apart. I think I'm entitled to that opinion. Again- disagreement is good. But this stuff gets downright nasty

The 8th question was more about my utter frustration with the people here who are so damn rude.

21. I know. But then I was an ABBer and have
1) hmmm, lots of people reading things into what he may mean by doing something, I see little he has done. However, I will eat crow pie tomorrow if it turns out that he was: working behind the scenes, sending secret coded messages, etc.
2) Being above reproach is not the problem. No one is perfect. However, he is better than and much less imperfect than bushite.
3) Better than bushites. much better. much much much
4) no. Question athority and everyone else.
5) NO way. This was the biggest disappointment, felt he should've waited and watched and not bought into the "must know immediately if not sooner" mentality
6) no.
7) We're all worried and scared. Some people are truly optimistic. Some people need others to be optimistic, even when there is no realistic reason to be. Some people are not optimistic, have bought into the group optimism and then crashed and are not willing to do so again. (guess which group I'm in)
8) hahhahaha. There are no saints.
So, I guess I'm up for flames too, or for people to respond that they're not going to respond because I'm not worth it. Oh well, off to continue down the emailing senator list.
