042006 11/02/04, 1:19 PM PST Machine problem Albuquerque, bernalillo County, New Mexico Report from Voting Protection Personnel Mariln Brown who was assisting elderly man with voting. When Democrat President candidate selected (red dot with paper system), Libetarian candidate was highlighted. Poll worker instructed on how to correct. Vote was corrected. Same irregularities reported in other area precinct during early voting with touch screens: Democratic party selected, but libertarian candidates highlighted.

047570 11/02/04, 4:42 PM PST Machine problem Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, New Mexico This caller used an electronic voting machine, and after selecting a democratic candidate, noticed that the republican light actually lit up. He had to select the democratic candidate again to cancel it out, and then select it again to make the correct selection. He had to do this for almost all of the people he voted for. Worried that others won't realize the problem. THIS WAS THE SECOND TIME THAT HE CALLED (but I forgot to get the first case #, so I'm not sure what the first issue was)
047678 11/02/04, 4:55 PM PST Machine problem Los Ranchos Elementary School, Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, New Mexico Using machine "B" my buttons that I pushed would respond in the other area. Sometimes I would push buttons once and it wouldn't light up, so I'd have to push it again or two times. One-third of the way through my lightgs just went out. I asked the monitor what happened and she didn't know. They still kept letting other people use this machine anyway.

059509 12/02/04, 11:53 AM PST Machine problem 186, Bernalillo County, New Mexico Machine indicated vote for Nader - not voter's choice. He went back several times until machine registered correct vote. Voter told judge, who shrugged and told the voter he must have done it wrong.

3. But, I thought it was just an occassional glitch! Isn't that what they
said? Just a few glitches. Couldn't change anything.

They wouldn't lie about it, would they?

5. It wasn't just a few glitches; see documentation for similar in Florida
Note that between 30 and 100 percent of those voting on machines with default to Bush(or other) lost their vote, depending on whether they saw the switch. Given the large numbers of precincts and voters involved in Florida this was a very large number. Similar in Ohio, New Mexico, Washington, Orange county(Calif.),Travis Co(Texas), Mercer Co(Pennsylvania),etc.

2. Also, those voting Dem party ticket lost Pres. vote- vote went to Bush
Lots of Navaho and poor hispanics tried to vote straight party ticket.
But as in some other states, the Presidential vote "defaulted to Bush"

044499 11/02/04, 2:44 PM PST Machine problem Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, New Mexico 477 #B voter confusion of machine operation & secondlu miscommunication between poll workers and voter. Voter ended up not voting straight ticket -- not his wishes.

044706 11/02/04, 2:54 PM PST Machine problem Hawthorne Elem, Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, New Mexico #477 #C machine presidential vote didn't light up. Poll worker male. Voted straight. Talked to Mrs. Flores said it was okay.
047355 11/02/04, 4:32 PM PST Machine problem Alameda Elementary, Bernalillo County, New Mexico Machine registered full slate of votes for the wrong party. Voter had to go back and manually change each category
048599 11/02/04, 5:17 PM PST Machine problem Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, New Mexico Pressed "party" they lit up. Then went to props. By the time she finished the whole thing began blinking. Had to go back and recheck party. She does not feel confident vote was recorded. Had to repeat "party selection.
048935 11/02/04, 5:26 PM PST Machine problem Hawthorne Elem, Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, New Mexico One machine light (red/on) isn't working. Several people not wanting to use machine, but poll workers think it's okay.
049286 11/02/04, 5:42 PM PST Machine problem Alameda ES, 412 Alameda Blvd. NW, Bernalillo County, New Mexico Voter tried to vote straight ticket, other party selected; voter was able to correct.
059555 12/02/04, 12:33 PM PST Machine problem Precinct 66, Albuquerque, Bernalillo County, New Mexico In voting for state senator candidate Fernando C.D. Baca, both lights lit up for James Taylor, the opposing candidate. Pushing the square in the middle again lit up the light for Taylor. Pushing the square button again, the voter had to push the square button on the bottom in order to signal the light for Fernando C.D. Baca.

4. Too many faults favor Bush to ingore
If it was just glitches in the machine it would spread the votes around evenly. But in this case it went to Bush's favor almost every time when you take into account every time it deprived a vote from Kerry who was the only real challenger.

Glitches have no present disposition. Don't call it glitches IT WAS VOTE TAMPERING

6. Touchscreen Default to Bush in Orange County, California(EIRS cases)
Orange Co

042711 11/02/04, 1:51 PM PST Other polling place problem Orange, Orange County, California Went to vote. Gave her number and escorted her into machine and entered her number then dialled to a presidential candidate and directed her to "vote for president" with particular name on screen. She was stunned. Went ahead and voted, then complained to that woman. Then went back and reported to supervisor at precinct. Thinks this was going on most of morning.

7. Web site for New Mexico "Default to Bush" EIRS reports:
http://www.flcv.com/bernalil.html

Typical pattern of widespread fraud, voter suppression, and dirty tricks in minority counties. Seen in all swing states.
