6.  Can it be the same lack of imagination, head in sand, that led to 9/11?

Newsweek

Jan. 10 issue -It was a little after 7 p.m. on election night 2004. The network exit polls showed John Kerry leading George Bush in both Florida and Ohio by three points. Kerry's aides were confident that the Democratic candidate would carry these key swings states; Bush had not broken 48 percent in Kerry's recent tracking polls. The aides were a little hesitant to interrupt Kerry as he was fielding satellite TV interviews in a last get-out-the-vote push. Still, the 7 o'clock exit polls were considered to be reasonably reliable. Time to tell the candidate the good news.

Why on earth can they write this stuff and not question the legitimacy of Bush's win?

8. you know.... here in Ohio, things weren't being stated so rosy for Kerry
that I *heard* -- I came home kind of bouncy thinking that things were going ok, and DH shook his head and said it didn't look good --

we don't have a cable hookup right now (by choice) and don't get the normal tv stations. We were listening to the radio a bit (NPR station), but ended up watching a movie, and about 9:30 (??) Memory hazy) -- they were calling Bush for Ohio on the Internet (I don't know which site -- I don't think it was MSNBC, but it might have been) at less than 30% of the precincts reporting, and it might have even been something like 10-15%, because I started ranting like a lunitic HOW can they call a State without All of the Data?! DH just kind of left me on my own to fume --- everything is so sketchy about that time.

So.... were the 7:00 polls still favoring Kerry in Ohio?

9. The Corporate Media is a flocking animal. The behavior of organisms
that flock in this manner is marked by a strict conformity to the group as a whole. To leave the group, or to be forced out by ostracism, is to die. Hence each member tries to conform as closely as possible to the behavior of the perceived flock-as-a-whole.

Thus, the reluctance we see to initiate the squawking behavior, while at the same time, this same drive accounts for the unanimity of squawking once it commences.

Thus, succeeding in alarming one of the creatures will invariably rouse the entire flock.

In other words, once ONE of 'em blinks their eyes and sees what's RIGHT IN FRONT of us, there will be a fist-fight over the information that we've been piling up in haystacks.

That'll be the time for us to step back, and lean on our pitchforks.

:)

11. Confirmation of the "The Unmaking of the President 2004"
The naysayers will say it was all just ONE BIG CONSPIRACY to fool the people into believing that Kerry won.

Sigh.

To believe Bush won the election...you must believe ALL the polls - exit polls, popularity polls, pre-election polls, debate polls - were wrong.

12. Sigh
When you say "prior to vote contamination" what you mean is "prior to the final 20% of the vote being included". Not to mention excluding absentee votes and final weighting data.

When you exclude TWENTY PERCENT of the available data, which comes from later in the evening and western states, you CAN NOT say with a straight face that it "confirms" anything about who won. You can say its useful evidence, but not that it CONFIRMS a winner.

You cannot "confirm" anything without the final raw data, and I know YOU know that (and implied it in your circles on circles post).

TIA, is there ANY way to persuade you to choose less hyperbolic verbage in these posts of yours?
