Conversations over the holidays....good feedback stories
I talked with all sorts of folks, here in Massachusetts, and it seems everyone agrees that the National Election was criminal and the country is being run by criminals.

Talking to them about Ohio's BOE and recount lockdowns, equipment tampering, etc..most everyone had no clue. I showed them the 'technician video' from TruthOut.Org, I showed them HackTheVote and Clinton Curtis testimony. They were amazed at the arrogance, sloppiness and audacity of the Reps.

When I talked about the Senate stepping up and contesting the election, all agreed it would be the RIGHT THING and PATRIOTIC DUTY!

Anyone else care to share?

5. People,even democrats, who are usually the only ones I will bring this up
to, stare at me with vaguely amused pity, indifference, or express disbelief or dismissive witticisms. The only people who are encouraging or even seem to be aware of the widespread fraud are people who listen to AAR and Thom Hartman, read Buzzflash and DU. Otherwise I might as well be talking to blind, deaf, and dumb people (no insult meant to any of the people really sensory challenged in those departments) Cluelessness, cluelessness, and more cluelessness. So discouraging sometimes. Thank God for DU.

6. My mom "gets it".
And in one way I'm really surprised, 'cause it ain't like her to say anything political, let alone critical, let alone to ME...the "radical".

But then why should it surprise me that another uncounted voter is :puke: over, her word, "MORON".

She then asked, "What state is Conyers from?". HAHAHA

She'll be blabin' with her friends all week.:)

8. My mom "gets it", too
And everyone I talked to over the holidays as well--a fellow GOTV-er from MoveOn and I have also been sending a weekly newsletter since the election with updates. Got a list of 450 now.

7. It's even like that here in NC.
I work at a video store, and a lot of people remember me from canvassing the nearby neighboorhoods. I've had a bunch of people hunch down over the counter, squint their eyes, and say, "you know, Bush winning this election just doesn't add up..."

I send them to votecobb.org and redefeatbush.com and tell them to read up on the recount effors. Only one person that I talked to so far even knew there was a recount going on.

10. I actually had a chance to check in with some good friends
tonight (like-minded people in most respects political) and most were either skeptical, resigned, or a combination of the two. So when they asked me for SECOND time what was new with me, I answered, "You mean besides massive election fraud?"

They wanted to hear more when they got my persistence (cuz I'm usually not so pushy) and the two things I got across seemed to be "vote flipping" and "no receipt; couldn't run a bank this way".

People who don't read and share what we do are still in the dark. But I tell them, just wait. You'll be hearing about it.

;)
