1. I voted NO.....
But I could end up being wrong...until now I have not seen any evidence that the election was stolen...I hope it was because that will explain to me that 59 million people are not really that stupid.

4. You give this BushCo cabal undeserved credit for playing fair. Hell will
freeze over first before that happens.

9. I know my state was stolen (Ohio)
The repuke owner of Diebold promised he would deliver Ohio to the chimp and he did. I suspect the same thing happened in Florida and God knows how many other states. I refuse to believe these thugs would accept defeat and they can't win elections the honest way so I am convinced this election was rigged....they did it the last two times.....2000 and 2002. This idiot had BELOW 50% approval rating....54% to 59% thought the country was on the WRONG track. I can't believe a majority would want this jerk back in for 4 more years with these kinds of numbers. No effin way.

While I suspect dirty tricks I am just not 100% certain.

7. First off the chimp had all the advantages of an incumbency ..
that he didn't deserve. Being an incumbent is a big advantage and hard to overcome for the challenger.

12. At first, I thought "no" however, I wondered about the numbers...
during the wee hours of Wednesday morning. I remember thinking to myself, "Man, these numbers just don't look right!" And when one of the media whores explained that Bush received more popular votes than Reagan did in 1984, I began to get suspicious.

Finally, after reading some of the threads on DU today, particularly those relating to conflicting exit poll data and the final numbers, I now suspect foul play in this election...

17. good point
that Bush received more popular votes than Reagan did in 1984

I also remember some reporter referring to the last time the Republicans tried to increase the number of evangelicals and the numbers didn't happen when it actually came time to vote.

16. yeah
If they were playing games with the vote in Louisiana, which was supposed to be "safe," they were playing games everywhere.

Students at Xavier and Dillard Universities in New Orleans had to wait up to 8 hours to cast a vote. The voting machine problems were supposed to be fixed after the Hurricane Ivan/gay marriage amendment debacle on Sept. 18 but these folks had to wait many, many hours. In case anyone is in doubt, yeah, these universities have a largely African-American student body.

By contrast I waited less than an hour to vote in my mostly GOP precinct in St. Tammany Parish.

As far as I'm concerned, something is very rotten.

Earlier in the week, there was a news story about voting shenanigans in Mississippi. I mean, c'mon, Mississippi? If they were cheating there, they were cheating everywhere.

18. Look at the 4 to 6 percent increase in Blues States
Edited on Thu Nov-04-04 04:11 PM by BOHICA04
even in Massachusetts, Bush did better than 2000. 33% in 2000, 37% in 2004. In NY - 35% in 2000, 40% in 2004

The base didn't come out, or if they did it went the wrong way.

19. I wish it had been stolen
as the truth is much uglier, that the heart of this country is made of religious bigots and psychopaths who support a pathological liar and murderer. Our American heartland is informed that over 100,000 innocent women and children in Iraq have been killed by our odious military misadventure and yet they give the prime criminal perpetrator in this mass murder another 4 years. The truth, that so-called Christian conservative Americans are simply individuals so full of themselves and their self-righteous, intolerant egos that they willingly blind themselves to injustice is worse than the mere hijacking of an election by corrupt politicians.

21. Maybe...
We didn't make a very convincing case to the 51% that we could do a better job than GWB??? Most of our message and rhetoric was "Bush sux". I didn't hear much in the way of positive Democratic programs.
