Conyers letter to Triad, with note of more to come Thurs AM
http://www.house.gov/judiciary_democrats/triad_letter.pdf

I have just reviewed a tape prepared by the documentarian Lynda Byrket of the hearing held by the Hocking County Board of Elections on December 20, and based on that tape I have more questions and concerns than ever about the conduct of your firm in connection with the Ohio presidential election and recount. In particular, I am concerned that your company has - either intentionally or negligently - in a manner which will thwart the recount law in
Ohio by preventing validly cast ballots in the presidential election from being counted.

You have done this by preparing “cheat sheets” providing county election officials with information such that they would more easily be able to ignore valid ballots that were thrown out by the machines during the initial count. The purpose of the Ohio recount law is to randomly check vote counts to see if they match machine counts. By attempting to ascertain the precinct to be recounted in advance, and than informing the election officials of the number of votes they
need to count by hand to make sure it matches the machine count is an invitation to completely ignore the purpose of the recount law.

You as much as admitted that this was your purpose at the December 20 hearing:

4. he cc's the county prosecuter and the FBI special agent in charge
and he's asking for $$$$ trail, where's the service agreement, there would have been a routine charge for "service's rendered" as this explanation for the modification was above and beyond the typical election, so a legitimate business would have billed for it!!!

9. yes
he says:

"also, something fun on the Triad front will hopefully be ready by morning."

Im sure there will be more about that today and the Conyers letter would be part of that. ;)

Just my guess

2. WOW! I hope Conyers can take them down
The more I read about Triad, the better I feel about Diebold and that ain't saying a whole hell of a lot.

12. Oh, I agree - the point I was making is that
Triad is only slightly worse than the bottom of the barrel.

LOL! I want them all to go down.

8. Triad =punchcards and Diebold=electronic --right?
Different types of systems and different methods of manipulation. Diebold, ES&S, and Sequoia weren't as sloppy perhaps as Triad, or I should say their methods are yet undetected/proven.

13. Hey eowyn,
Diebold does both touchscreen (DRE) and vote tabulation machines (optical I believe).

Triad does only tabulation.

Hopefully, like dominoes, when one goes down the others will start to fall.

23. Triad does punch cards too

I THOUGHT so...Triad manufactures punch card voting systems, and also wrote the computer program that tallied the punch-card votes in 41 counties in Ohio

11. The confession:
Rapp: "Remember: the purpose was to train people on how to conduct their jobs... and to help them identify problems when they conducted their recount... If they could not hand count the ballots correctly, they would know what they needed to look for in that hand count."

<break>

Observer: "Why do you feel it was necessary to point out to a team counting ballots the number of over-votes and under-votes when the purpose of the team is to in fact locate those votes and judge them?"

Barbian: "It's an easy mistake as you're hand counting... It's just human error. The machine counts it right... We're trying to give them as much information as possible to help them out."

<break>

This Link is to Indy media - live updates from OHIO.

there are stunning developments opening up in the Ohio Re-Count currently underway. This is a live report coming to you from Seneca County, Ohio from your intrepid Indy Media Journalist. There are a total of 10 people from Minnesota that we know of here in Ohio, fighting for the principle of democracy. This includes Eli Anthony and Mark Halverson from Minneapolis, Kurt, a lawyer from the twin cities, Burt from St Paul and myself. This is the story of two of the observers, Levi Anthony and myself. The below are the facts and experiences as best as we understand them.
We recieved the call Friday that a number of Republican attempts to stop the re-count had failed and so the recount was on.

:hi: can someone perhaps post it in a separate thread if you think its important enough. Indy media is a great source. during the RNC they gave minute by minute updates.

18. Are these people merely incredibly stupid?
Or blatantly complicit? "Could not hand count the ballots correctly" ...."The machine counts it right"Trying to HELP them make sure the hand count matches the flawed machine count so that it's RIGHT? It is so obviously absurd and backwards I can't see how they will ultimately get away with it.
