Did the Military vote for Kerry?
If you have any statistics on overseas ballots, please post them.

I know the military loved Michael Moore when he visited and interviewed them in Iraq.

Also, on past elections, the GOP proudly announces how many military voted for their candidate... I do not see anything this election.

Could it be that the GOP, and their MSM and SOS spokesmen are covering up the fact that a majority of the military voted for Kerry?

1. I don't know if the majority did
but I know damn well a lot more voted for Kerry than the Greedy Old Pig party cared for - else they'd be trumpeting the military's undying support for their piece of shit leader non-stop.

2. Somewhere there was a figure of 70% did vote for him
And I could believe that, Why wouldn't the Air Force and Navy/Marines vote for him. Only the Army is in question.

4. Maybe the Navy and Air force because they are the thinking services
we were taught to be self reliant.....while marines and army are taught to do as they are told.....

9. As a former member of the US Army, I find your comment......
about Army and Marine personnel highly distasteful.

It is the courage of these frontline troops that enable the Air Force to pick and choose their fights while also giving the Air Force the option of just "Flying away" from any fight that proves too much of a challenge. :evilfrown:

6. I also remember the figure 70% for Kerry
I heard it on TV. Funny how there's no print source for this info.

5. I think the military did vote for Kerry......
Otherwise, Rove and company would be boasting about * winning the military vote.

"Why doesn't bushco lie about winning the military vote? They lie about everything else." you might ask.

The answer is that they don't want soldiers openly questioning each other about who won the election and who voted for whom. I think an honest show of hands in any unit in any military unit would show who won the election - bushco doesn't want soldiers questioning the election results and the admin can't handle that crisis of morale.

8. Yeah, you wouldn't want THEM to question the results.

They are armed :-)

10. I dont have any hard numbers
but the letters from my friends over there indicate a big majority of Kerry votes, at least in the units they are in.

13. Come on, if they voted for * we'd sure know it
Since we don't know it, I think it's a pretty safe guess to say they didn't. My only personal knowledge is a nephew who's been in Korea for several years, but is headed to Iraq in March. He's in the army, and said everyone he talked to was hoping for a "regime change", and that they "shouldn't be in Iraq, they should be in Afghanistan". If they voted for * it'd be everywhere. Maybe there's no way they can manipulate those figures.

14. We need to question this, also, with the response: "What are you hiding?"
Just like with the Ohio election tampering.

In fact, that needs to be the slogan for Little Boots and his gang from now on, "What are you hiding?"

AFAIC, I agree, because it's completely logical and in keeping with bushco tactics, that if the military had gone for bush, we would all know about it. The right wing pundits would be talking about it nonstop because it would mean "the troops" support bush. But they don't. That's all there is to it.

As for the Navy/Air Force self-reliance versus the Army/Marines lack of critical thinking, tsk tsk tsk.

16. Some Links
Here are some links about the military vote

"An unscientific survey of U.S. military personnel shows they support President Bush for re-election by a 4-to-1 ratio. Two-thirds of those responding said John Kerry's anti-war activities after he returned from Vietnam make them less likely to vote for him."

http://www.usatoday.com/news/politicselections/nation/president/2004-10-03-bush-troops_x.htm

"Bush leads Democratic Sen. John Kerry 73 percent to 18 percent in the voluntary survey of 4,165 active-duty, National Guard and reserve subscribers to Army Times, Navy Times, Marine Corps Times and Air Force Times."

has a breakdown by rank, age, etc

http://www.armytimes.com/story.php?f=1-292925-383722.php

Note: These are pre-election polls, of yet, I have not found an exit poll of military voters. I can say that my unit is very, very Republican, maybe as high as 90%, and I know 3 people who voted for Senator Kerry, out of several hundred. I am sure there are more, but will not say so out of fear of ridicule.

I can say that the main reason those in my unit who may have voted for Senator Kerry but did not was to do with the Swift Boat ads and his anti-war efforts. His failure to sign the SF 180 and release all his military records was also of concern, and that bothered me too, to be honest, especially after President Bush signed the SF 180. This made Senator Kerry LOOK like he was hiding something(I do not think he was, but perception is sometimes greater than the truth in the minds of many)

About the SF 180:http://www.militarycorruption.com/kerry3.htm

This site pulls NO punches and takes shots at both sides, and is a good source for information about military stories often buried by the MSM

If someone could post a link to military exit polls, that would be great!

hope this helps, everyone have a great holiday!
