2. Ask Kerry.
Oh wait, he rolled over and surrendered when faced with the task of fighting for Democracy.

Never mind.

7. I think Kerry knew something he's not telling us...
I was angry earlier, yes, but count the number of ways that the US will implode: Market troubles, terror attack (far more likely with * in power), peak oil, housing bubble, shifting tax burden to the class whose jobs are being outsourced... there are MANY others, but I think Kerry knows that the US does NOT have 4 years before it goes 'kersplat' and doesn't want to be the scapegoat.

13. That makes it even worse.
A real leader would step up to the plate rather than allow everything to go to crap.

If Kerry surrendered b/c he didn't want to be scapegoated, then he didn't deserve to win in the first place.

3. Since Kerry conceded, I bet they'll have been put in the fireplace by now.
:-(

It'd be sad if Kerry did win. Part of me hopes he does. But then I think of how many ways the oh-so-tough :eyes: US is teetering on the brink and am grateful that * was re-selected by artificial means (Diebold paperless machines, there's no way they're legit). * will get the blame when the collapse occurs.

Dunno why I find that comforting, but I do.

9. He's not going to suffer
The U.S. population will. And he will no doubt take a bit of sadistic glee in the misfortune, particularly as it occurs in states which voted against him again. After all, this is a man who used to blow up frogs with firecrackers.

There will have to be a new war or two started to distract from the ongoing currency collapse.

we didn't fight hard enough. I am so sick. I am the most shocked that Florida went to dumbass. I thought for SURE it would go Kerry.

10. Concessions are not legally binding
So if something happens and we find out Kerry actually won, I suppose he really wins.

He just gave the impression in his speech that a win wasn't going to happen.

14. I don't understand how this works... So they all have to continue
counting all of the votes? And if that is true I don't see how it is possible that the election is considered over until every vote is counted. Or at least every million votes.

17. Think about it this way
Kerry v. Bush isn't the only race on all those ballots. Some are bound to be close.

You can't just count some races on the ballots and not others. So they're not going to stop counting ballots that may decide whether alcohol can be sold on Sundays just because Kerry conceded his race.

Besides, a concession is not binding on anyone.

22. But there were other races, right? Not just president.
And I doubt any of the absentee ballots were touch screen.

21. Does anyone know how/where I can find J. Edwards
speech from today? He said something like "we're not giving up until all the votes are counted" I want to read it and see if I'm remembering correctly. When I first heard it, I was too upset to really listen. What happens if Kerry has conceded and the vote ends up going our way? If this ended up being the case, then it would legimitize the election.
