The president is not entitled to my support after he villefied my party, my party's nominee, and me for being soft on terror. Sorry, Romeo, but you don't get a honeymoon when you kidnap the bride. I am not depressed. I'm positive, optimistic, and angry. I'm ready to work and nag and fight every lamebrained scheme Bush and his 2nd string neocons flush down the crapper pipes into Congress.

I want government, not privatization. I want good, honest, responsible, and actually compassionate governance. If the people elected Bush, so be it. I will demand honest compassionate government from Bush then and give him hell every time he doesn't deliver--which I expect to be most of the time.

I'm not mad at Kerry, either. He did his best, did pretty damn good, frankly. I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt on the concession thing. I don't think he would have caved if the numbers were reasonably hopeful. I would have backed whatever course he took, but it's kinda hard to dispute a 51-48 margin in Ohio backed up by a 51-48 margin nationwide. I'll get over this loss real fast. I'll get over it the second I have to demonstrate against some lame ass appointment Bush tries to foist onto the country. I'll especially tremble when I watch the Supreme Court convene.

The election is over, but the fight is still going to go on.

2. Actually, Congress is kind of irrelevant now...
Bush can simply govern by fiat. Who has the power to stop him?

3. Go for it....
That's the way the system is supposed to work. Get involved in local and state issues. That's what I'm going to do. Work on things that affect me more directly than anything The Shrub can do to me.
