3. That's not really fair to all the young people

who did get out and vote. I have a niece who is a passionate video gamer but also a passionate political junkie. My nephew is also a video gamer and he was furious that he wasn't old enough to vote. Both of them lurk on DU, but my nephew is to the left of most of the posters here. My niece was so excited about voting in her first presidential election. They're absolutely devastated with the results of this election.

5. This doesn't concern the ones that did vote..

..but the vast majority who didn't. And yes, I think its quite fair, with the caveat that every age group should get out in bigger numbers. As a group, the young are a disappointment. Sorry, no way around it.

6. You are very right...

I was in a high school classroom today with several students who were near tears as they were reading about Kerry's concession. Of course, the three bush supporters still do not believe that they will be sent to fight his wars. Instead they were gloating and talking about how Schwarzenagger would be a "really cool President" It's just one big action movie or video game to some young people, but not all.

4. Parents of teens...we know they care. My 16 y/o was extremely

upset today, and is counting down until she can register to vote. She and her friends were very well versed on the election, and she volunteered to help with K/E campaign here.
