Do not expect the Ohio recount to reveal anything
Did y'all read the testimony from yesterday's hearings? In a sworn affadivit, a witness who I believe was working for the state election board states that they were given instructions on how to ensure that the recount matches the official results.

This, in combination with the month of time that they've had to tamper with the ballots means that the recount will only discredit us. I feel our only hope at this time is Arnebeck's lawsuit and the possibility that some incredibly incriminating evidence comes forth that results in not just one, but several senators being willing to contest the Ohio electors.

I'm guessing that would lead straight to the Supreme Court, and then our only hope is that one person has had a change of heart in the last 4 years, or has "seen the light" on what a turd Bush is.

I'll probably get slammed for being negative but I'm just trying to be realistic. I think the Warren County results today show what we can expect in the recount - no change, although I'm sure fraud was involved in reaching this conclusion.

2. The "fix" is in.
It fixed the recount as well as the election.

3. what you say makes sense, unfortunately
If Blackwell has control of things, they would be able to re-rig the thing. We know there is massive fraud, and can only hope that Arnebeck will be able to uncover it. If only people knew what is going on!!
I walked through the supermarket today and it was like living in an alternate universe. Kerry won, but the whole world thinks Bush did, and are going with it. I had to fight back tears.

6. My take is that even if there was lots o fixin, they'll make a mistake
somewhere. So we'll just have to watch them like a hawk.

8. I think you are right
They are going to be more savvy this time. They won't leave this stuff to chance.

What I hope is that the people in 2006 realize that they are all losing ground and made a mistake. We need a better image for leaders. We need better campaigns. We cannot just try to fight over table scraps. We need the meat and potatoes of a good populist movement. If there was a huge Democratic majority, they couldn't defraud enough places to get away with it.

9. Keep fighting like your country and future depended on it!
I won't give up. Help put pressure on election officials and election commission employees. Don't let them forget they are stealing our democracy! Join the call for action to picket all 88 Ohio election commission offices daily. Get hold of Ohio residents and urge them to picket. If you can, go to Ohio to picket.

http://www.51capitalmarch.com - go to message board for details. We are currently building a web site to coordinate this Call for Action. Should be tested and up in 48 hours.

10. i'm not suggesting to give up
i'm just saying that it appears our best chance is the lawsuit, not the recount.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

The most important issue we face as a nation is election reform. In the 2004 election, 80% of the votes nationwide were counted on machines made by two companies that support the Republican Party, many of which produced no paper trail that could be checked in a recount. There was also documented widespread voter suppression based on race and party affiliation. A bill was introduced in Congress to outlaw the paperless voting machines but the Republican Party prevented the bill from coming to a vote. While Democrats today are trying to figure out what they did wrong, and how to change the party for the future, the real issue is the voting machines and election reform. It is more important that the economy, the war, the environment, health care, taxes, and women's rights. If we do not take back our right to vote and have it counted properly, none of these other issues matter at all and nothing will change. For more information on this important subject see:
