Kerry deserves his loss
"that comment by the Republicans is inappropriate"

"that was an uncalled for comment"

"America deserves better"

Those sound like fighting words? Do you think Kerry will change now in the Senate, and suddenly come out swinging? After he just gave up without a fight?

Some people were right .. Kerry is milquetoast.

"every vote counts, and count every vote" translates into "wait one night, then concede."

oh boy. what a fighter.

Kerry deserves his loss.

from Common Dreams -- It's not really surprising that Kerry will not fight with stuff like this out there and more:

An Election Spoiled Rotten
by Greg Palast

John Kerry is down by several thousand votes in New Mexico, though not one ballot has yet been counted. He's also losing big time in Colorado and Ohio; and he's way down in Florida, though the votes won't be totaled until Tuesday night.

Through a combination of sophisticated vote rustling—ethnic cleansing of voter rolls, absentee ballots gone AWOL, machines that "spoil" votes—John Kerry begins with a nationwide deficit that could easily exceed one million votes.

The Urge To Purge

Colorado Secretary of State Donetta Davidson just weeks ago removed several thousand voters from the state's voter rolls. She tagged felons as barred from voting. What makes this particularly noteworthy is that, unlike like Florida and a handful of other Deep South states, Colorado does not bar ex-cons from voting. Only those actually serving their sentence lose their rights.

There's no known, verified case of a Colorado convict voting illegally from the big house. Because previous purges have wiped away the rights of innocents, federal law now bars purges within 90 days of a presidential election to allow a voter to challenge their loss of civil rights.

1. What a fighter, indeed
This is where DLC politics leads: milquetoastville.

I've voted for the last DLC candidate I'll ever support. Fuck 'em.

6. did you read the article?
there is plenty of stuff that needs to be investigated to get the "proof." However, if you give up and just concede in the next morning, you may hinder efforts to get the proof.

If you give up in less than one day, you don't have a chance to get any proof. You are a loser. Like Kerry.

Kerry is a joke and a liar.

8. I have been reading Ohio media reports and blogs
I live in Ohio. I have friends who worked those precincts. I have been trying to put together a scenario for election theft and don't get it. There was scurrilous voter intimidation, though.

I still don't know what to think :)

10. you have to do at least some investigation to find proof
you have to have some time to at least let some do some investigative work to see if there is any proof.

By just conceding, ... you sweep all the potential problems on under the rug. They don't matter. You gave up without a fight, or at least without even taking a little time to let the info come out. There are already many irregularities out there, as exposed in the Palast artilce.

Why are the lines so long in the predominantly african-american precincts? Why do many predominantly white and rural precincts get to go right in and vote with no wait? Why do some have to wait 5-10 hours just to vote? Why are predominantly african-american or other minority districts supplied with more inaccurate voting equipment?

There is more, much more, than just these questions.

Why isn't Kerry using this opportunity to highlight these questions or irregularities? Why is he not at least letting a few days go by to see what type of info and proof comes out? It's only the Presidency of the U.S.

The guy is a loser. And, he just showed it.

13. Voters had to wait past midnight to vote in Ohio
I recall Knox county was still voting at 2 am. I read that here or on www.dailykos.com

The system should have better throughput than that. We need those 80,000 at the Springsteen rally to storm the statehouse.

I still don't think Kerry could have squeezed more votes out of this, though.

Loser is too strong, imo.

5. He may deserve it but WE don't
we weren't ready to concede without a count and a look at what caused the exit polls to be +5% while the official count headed for -3%

7. I do like Kerry, but he wasn't my candidate of choice.
Edited on Wed Nov-03-04 02:22 PM by Cleita
I just fear for what ShrubCo is going to try to do with four more years. I guess it's time to try to impeach him and indict him for war crimes. Really, he's got to go down one way or the other. It has nothing to do with Party politics. He and his camp are really trashing our Constitution and our nation.

There is hope that we can get an angle on this criminal, too.
