Pick our Next Big Invasion:
Syria and/or Jordan I'm thinking. Anti-American, small feeble armies, no WMD, convenient from Iraq, and a nice little security story.

On the other hand -- and check me if I'm wrong -- it may have more natural wealth than Jordan.

21. The NeoCons are back in saddle
This would be my guess also, no nukes, Israel hates them and cuts off land travel north and south in that part of middle east. Also easy to swallow for the economy when we are awash in red ink

They will get the draft going again first though

10. Iran is too dangerous
I just don't think they'd risk going into such a fundamentalist country, unless Iran attacked us. They've already established Wolfowitz's forward military base (Iraq) and can influence if not control the flow of oil. Syria and Jordan are easy (enough) wins and closer to Israel...shit, I sound like I'm playing Risk.

"I sound like I'm playing Risk."

If you switched party affiliation right now you would be considered an "up and coming star in the GOP" because what you said is spot-on. They're playing Risk with our lives and the lives of our children and grandchildren. They don't care about you or me, that's for damn sure.

32. You're right - he now has a mandate from the people.
I swear, I'd love to require a test for voters. It would be a simple geography quiz, no more than 3 questions - and would eliminate about 90% of the inbred vote.

12. All of the above
Sooner or later it will be Iran and Syria. The ultimate goal is, of course, China, who the hawks feel will need to be dealt with before too long. 20 years, maybe 50. Everything they do up until that day will be geared towards getting ready for the big faceoff with China. China really does have nuclear weapons, and she must be made to give them up. Or else. Just ask Darth Cheney. Princess George is just the beginning, folks.

they are funding the huge bush debt.

Bush will probably drop nukes at some point. He has them and can't understand why the tiny ones aren't being used.

If China was attacked by us for carrying such a huge US debt load, Japan would dump their US Treasuries and send our economy into a nose dive - not a tail spin.

They are already demonizing us as being in league with the terrorists. They have associated the word liberal as being a negative word, so much so that Kerry didn't even call himself it. What's the next step? Loyalty oaths? Imprisonment? Lynchings?

or more specifically an intermidiary country that we will fight a new cold war in. So I would say a middle eastern country that china supports, or Taiwan, who knows where. I just know it's coming. Remember the spy plane incident early in BVSH II's reign? I expect to see a repeat.

35. I KNOW what it will be - Syria
I've got a friend (don't you hate that?) who knows a high level government security consultant. The story they are floating now is that there WERE WMDs in Iraq, and now they're in Syria. Naturally, we have to go after them.

Yes, the populace will swallow that. And you and I will feel like Winston Smith as the enemy changes from Eastasia to Eurasia.

37. The Real Reasons Why Iran is the Next Target - the Petroeuro
Here's my analysis...

The Real Reasons Why Iran is the Next Target:
The Emerging Euro-denominated International Oil Marker

http://globalresearch.ca/articles/CLA410A.html

The Iranians are about to commit an "offense" far greater than Saddam Hussein's conversion to the euro of Iraq’s oil exports in the fall of 2000. Numerous articles have revealed Pentagon planning for operations against Iran as early as 2005. While the publicly stated reasons will be over Iran's nuclear ambitions, there are unspoken macroeconomic drivers explaining the Real Reasons regarding the 2nd stage of petrodollar warfare - Iran's upcoming euro-based oil Bourse.

In 2005-2006, The Tehran government has developed a plan to begin competing with New York's NYMEX and London's IPE with respect to international oil trades - using a euro-denominated oil-trading mechanism. This means that without some form of US intervention, the euro is going to establish a firm foothold in the international oil trade. Given U.S. debt levels and the stated neoconservative project for U.S. global domination, Tehran's objective constitutes an obvious encroachment on U.S. dollar supremacy in the international oil market

"Of all the enemies to public liberty war is, perhaps, the most to be dreaded because it comprises and develops the germ of every other. War is the parent of armies; from these proceed debts and taxes...known instruments for bringing the many under the domination of the few. . . No nation could preserve its freedom in the midst of continual warfare."

- James Madison, Political Observations, 1795

41. I think most will agree it will be in M.E. for sure
and a stated enemy of Isreal also. They all knew it was comimg many years ago, many of them countries in the M.E. have been buying all the armaments they could find. We are going to see a lot of wars we can be sure.

Saddam got hit up because of his dancing with the Euro, but Iran will be a hard sale too. My guess they are still stacking cards to see how they are going to bet other peoples lives on.

Direct invasion is done last, so more coups are also in order

By my estimates there will not be enough people to draft at the end of these four years
