Some good things - George W. Bush has to clean up his own mess
Edited on Wed Nov-03-04 12:03 PM by yellowcanine
in Iraq. And also - he is now available for impeachment when all the shit hits the fan over Valerie Plame, Abu Grabe, Halliburton, etc. And we know where to find Karl Rove when it is time to frog march his ass off to prison.

It goes like this:

All hell breaks loose in Iraq.
George is forced to crank up the draft.
The weight of all the scandals and public outrage over Iraq allows the Dems to recapture the House in 2006.
The new Dem. House impeaches George and he resigns after Pubs abandon him.

13. Need to win the House in '06 and we will if the stars align correctly.
Several things have to happen but it is possible.

Tom Delay resigns over scandals.
Texas gerrymander is thrown out and Dems recapture seats in Texas.
Dems pick up more seats because of scandals of Bush administration and Iraq fiasco.

If we could not do it before, we sure as hell can't do it now.
Scandals don't hurt them. The repug hard press will soon begin.

26. EXACTLY
It isn't a Democratic House that will impeach. I think Bush will pretty much think he is accountable to no one and push things too far, and that he will eventually trip the theshold where enough moderate Repubs finally say, OKAY! THAT'S ENOUGH! Look for McCain to lead the way from the Senate.

5. Sort of like
knowing that the Germans are going to have to rebuild their country and pay reparations once the Holocaust is over. How comforting.

Shit will NOT hit the fan over Valerie Plame, Halliburton, or anything else. Those things will be completely swept under the rug. If you think the mainstream media failed to inform before, just wait.

8. That'll be a big comfort when I am sweating my nuts off in Baghdad.
Forgive me if I am not thrilled with this prospect. Yeah, Bush sucking down a heavy does of impeachment is amusing, but sadly, I have found myself to be most non-bullet proof.

I think draft numbers should be assigned relative to the way your state voted for President.

With a conservative Republican lock on both Houses, who's going to impeach him?

With Porter Goss heading the CIA, who's going to carry the Plame fight?

Lots of rope to hang yourself with. You've been saying things will get better, you just need more time. Now that you've got it, prove it...you lying POS. We'll wave your failures prominently in your face every day until you're gone. Now...how about those new "good" jobs you promised, dickweed? There's a bunch of us looking for work.
How about that beacon of freedom in the Middle East you've established? You have enough rope to hang yourself with...go for it.

34. how can you post here every day and still believe bush cares?
He will start right in on at least these areas:
1. eliminate any guise of caring about world Aids
2. eliminate ALL environmental protections
3. place as many absurdly partisan judges as possible
4. privatize (eliminate) health care and social security
5. expand the Patriot Acts (goodbye civil rights)
6. silence all detractors
7. expand the war
8. make tax cuts permanent/absolutely bankrupt the economy

He does not care about this country or the consequences
of his actions. We are in for a horror.

and it will take another Dem president to straighten it out like Clinton straightened out 12 years of RayGun/Bush and like FDR had to straighten out Hoover's mess.

bush has no plan to clean up anything - he is going to continue on his present course because there is nothing to stop him.

The people that support him are like the Germans that went to their graves denying that the prison camps existed and that Hitler was good.
