Kerry's promise to count the votes was all that stood between us and...
-the legislation of rampant homophobia
-the right of women to control their own bodies
-the survival of the Middle Class
-minimal health care standards for every American
-the draft
-the gutting of our environment
-decent public education for all American children
-world condemnation

For many of us, Kerry wasn't our candidate but we fought for him, anyway.

He didn't fight for us.

2. That's how I...

....feel. I fought for him, even though he wasn't my candidate and he let me down.

Hugs,
Kim

3. no, it was 135,000 votes when only 130,000 were left
that stood in the way of those things. No Kerry challenge was going to change that fact.

4. What's any of that compared to the stress on the real
citizens of this country, corporations.

The amount of time that would have been necessary to count would have been several weeks, during which time the market (NOT identical with the economy, mind you) suffers.

5. He didn't fight for us when we fought for him
What a fucking traitor. He had damn well better redeem himself in the next four years fighting tooth and nail in the Senate.

6. I disagree
I am SURE that his campaign weighed all the options before he conceded the election, and came up with it not being possible.

7. Bush, in the last election, pushed ahead even though he LOST to
make it appear that he had won. Kerry could have at least kept his promise.

9. Liar Kerry
I'm a Green Party county chairperson.

I broke with my own party to support Kerry. I volunteered plenty. I just spent the last four days away from my family, letting my work go ... because I wanted to believe that this was our best chance as Americans to get our country back.

I wanted to believe that John Kerry, despite all my misgivings, would really fight for us if 2000 happened all over again and if he got to the White House.

Now he has conceded even though all the votes have not been counted. He broke the most important promise he made as far as I am concerned.

11. He lost NV -- it was a done deal
no matter what happens in Ohio. Kerry did what he HAD to do not what he wanted to do. Blame the voters not the candidate for goodness sakes. FEAR WORKED! Plain and simple.
