What did the Media Know? I was struck last night by how they were going

"through the motions" of reporting on this election. It was almost monitone with their "Big Boards" and the scenic Democracy Plaza. I've watched many election returns and I felt as though the coverage last night by all the media was "scripted." It was very different from even the 2000 reporting. I don't put this down to them trying to be "low key" because of 2000 over-enthusiasm. It was weird.

If they were "scripted" then we know something is up with this vote. They knew from the Repugs...that the election was stolen.

I'm not trying to be :tinfoilhat: here. But, the "cut away" to Bush and BFEE without equal time to Kerry so that the photo on American Newspapers would show the Smiling Chimp this a.m. was also something new. In the past they would not show the candidates while the returns were coming in.

So we've got "scripted" anchors, a photo op of the Bush Imperial Family and an election called for Bush before the Provisional Ballots have been counted in all the states? :shrug:

1. The GOP campaign used the metaphor of a "race"

as in their "racing to Victory" slogan. This puts the focus on getting the election over with quickly and they have followed through with that plan. They will demand that Kerry concede immediately if Kerry does not do so in his 10AM media appearance.
