ELECTION 2004 THEME SONG, please read and listen
Edited on Sat Dec-04-04 02:23 AM by Faye

I was driving home from work tonight, and my 'theme song' for what we are going through right now (the recounts, proving fraud, etc) was playing. It's the song "Butterflies and Hurricanes" by Muse ( I will post the lyrics too). As this song came on, and I was singing, I looked ahead and the car in front of me still had a Kerry/Edwards sticker in the back windshield. I started crying!!! I almost felt the pain i felt the day Kerry conceded, but it was different. It wasn't a pain of feeling let down by him, but a feeling of anger of the injustice done not only to voters, but also to HIM. Sometimes I am superstitious and think there are 'signs' in certain situations going on in my life. This felt like one, but it was also a good feeling in a way, a feeling of some sort of triumph. Maybe the 'sign', was that I'm supposed to keep sharing this song with people who are following what is going on right now. I've already spread it to a few people who can't stop listening to it.

Anyway, I will post the lyrics to the song here, as well as an mp3 so you can hear the song.

here you can listen to the song AND watch the video: http://www.streaming-clips.com/play.php?id=2668

change,
everything you are
and everything you were
your number has been called
fights, battles have begun
revenge will surely come
your hard times are ahead

best,
you've got to be the best
you've got to change the world
and use this chance to be heard
your time is now

change,
everything you are
and everything you were
your number has been called
fights and battles have begun
revenge will surely come
your hard times are ahead

best,
you've got to be the best
you've got to change the world
and use this chance to be heard
your time is now

don't,
let yourself down
don't let yourself go
your last chance has arrived

best,
you've got to be the best
you've got to change the world
and use this chance to be heard
your time is now

1. Change,...
,...is what we should help the "manipulated" accept 'cause then they would have the capacity to embrace eachother.

Thank you for sharing yourself.

We are the warriors,...the warriors for humanity.

We can never give up,...but, we can give in to being perfectly human.

3. I read the lyrics you posted,...
,...I don't have the tech tools right now to hear the song,...and, perhaps, it's a good thing,...because, it is the lyrics which are inspiring.

All I can tell ya' is that,...I know how both hope and hopelessness, empowerment and victimhood, survival and freedom,...feel. I have experienced circumstances beyond my control which made me feel the worst of being human. Choosing hope, empowerment and freedom,...is what brings me here, very much still alive and posting to you,...today. Plus,...the grace of those who always prove to me that the human spirit is so magnificent.

4. i understand what you're saying
Edited on Sat Dec-04-04 03:08 AM by Faye
but it's not about me. it's not a personal song for me. it' symbolizes to me all the people who are fighting right now to have our voice be heard, that we know this election was NOT honest. I look around at all the people on this board, all the organizations and lawyers and independent activists who are doing everything they can in their own respective ways to help expose the truth. Some people who normally have not been politically or socially active are now taking their first stand. And when the other side tries to hold us back - 'don't let yourelf down, don't let yourself go - your last chance has arrived.'....you've got to change the world, and use this chance to be heard. Your time is now' :)

Am I making sense yet?
