M25 shut after explosion on lorry

All eight lanes of a section of the M25 are closed after a lorry containing hydrogen peroxide exploded.

The fire is under control on the vehicle which is at junction 13, the exit to Staines in Middlesex.

The section of the M25 between junctions 12 and 13 south west of London is closed in both directions.

Traffic anti-clockwise was tailing back to junction 15 - the M4 turn-off. Clockwise, queues stretched to junction 10, where the M25 meets the A3.

1. I think that we need government regulation of hair-dyes NOW
Nobody who has walked past Finsbury Park Mosque should be allowed to get blond hi-lights, and a six month vetting period for all new hair-dressers.

Security, security, terror, terror.

8. Doesn't go far enough
I say ban all chemical compounds now. There are safe, natural alternatives.

3. I seem to recall that that subversive marxist degenerate Quentin Crisp ..
... used to dye his hair.

I think we need look no further. This is obviously an action of the International Marxist Anarchist Muslim Homosexual World Conspiracy.

What EXACTLY do they have under those turbans? I think we should be told ....

4. Peroxide - horrible stuff.
Bleach, basically. Nasty stuff. But at least that stretch of the M25 will be 99.9% germ free.

6. Horrible...but still used extensively as a quack remedy for flu,
indigestion, high blood pressure, arthritis, labour pains etc etc.

I know of someone who swore by it - used it in diluted form every day for the last 30 years.....

Had a pretty horrible death in the end but hell! Never a sniffle or cough.

10. Nasty? It's environmentally sound
Not bleach at all - there's no chlorine in it. It decomposes to water and oxygen.

At a pinch, you can use it as rocket fuel on its own (with a catalyst to help along the reaction), with no pollution whatsoever. More normally, people burn something like kerosene in it. But it's still nicer than the alternatives.

Back when Britain had a space programme, hydrogen peroxide was our choice. http://members.aol.com/nicholashl/ukspace/htp/htp.htm
