White House for Sale: Channel 4, Monday 25th October, 8pm
A heads up for:
"In the first of a series of films examining the state of democracy in the US, Jon Snow looks at how the election campaigns are funded and asks a straightforward question — can a candidate buy his way into the White House? When George W. Bush first ran for president, the size of his war chest was enough to stop five Republican rivals entering the race. How did he raise the cash? And how are the Democrats suddenly able to pump millions into their electoral campaign, despite John Kerry having been written off earlier this year for a lack of financial backing? Not a programme for idealists."

1. More info please - network? Cable or PBS? "Channel 4" in what city?
This doesn't sound like a very helpful program in the first place - why should we watch it?

Sorry, it looks excellent and of great interest to American voters too.

3. Channel 4 in the United Kingdom
hence the forum I posted in. Channel 4 News is, in my opinion, the best in the UK at the moment (especially since the BBC is cautious after having been screwed over the Hutton report). A report from them should be interesting.

4. It's not like there's much competition:
BBC: gone a bit off them since the way they caved over Hutton,
Sky News: I don't think so... Sun TV
ITV News: crap!

C4 News does have the ability to get stories before anyone else as well as those which no-one else'd show

If anyone lives in Wales is it on S4C? I'm in Chester but am having probs with C4 reception at the moment, so might have to switch over...
